Xbox 360 controller sticks not working on FS2 mac

Rogue420

Gods Warrior
I just Installed FS2 on my mac and can't get my xbox 360 controller analog sticks to work. anybody have any ideas?

what do you mean? i have FS2 on my mac so i just installed the xbox 360 controller driver, and viola. controller now worky.

no, even if its posible to install it, how on earth can you manage to fly like that, i have never seen someone on a controller any good on this kind of a computer game... it just isnt designed for it... O.o

i tried playing w the mouse and keyboard and the mouse responce time sucked and it's a total bitch to try and bank w the mouse & keyboard. i know have the controller all set up and it's friggen sweet. i just asigned all of the functions that are used the most to the controller. i thought FS2 was designed for joystick use.

HOTAS is the only true option available :D

Every one has his/hers own preferred controller.. some people like mouse + keyboard, some people use solely keyboard, and other prefer sticks either with or without HOTAS...

What is HOTAS? controller+keyboard for me for sure. the feel of the xbox 360 is way sweeter than other controllers i've used.

Im hella good at keyboard, i find it far more effective then mouse... im trying to learn stick, its hard when your use to flying with something else.

I'm on the wingman 3d extreme pro ultimate thingy of doom, or whatever silly HARDCORE! name they gave my joystick. :doubtful:
Ahem, trigger, Hat, and four thumb buttons, two more buttons on the base, twist for roll, and throttle slider on the base. Dead comfy too, just with my mahoossive monitor, and tiny desk, I have to try and balance my joystick and my keyboard on my lap...:eek2:

HOTAS is an abbreviation for Hands on throttle-and-stick as said for example in wikipedia. Idea is that you can operate all essential systems without touching control panels etc. (like keyboard) keeping your hand on the stick and throttle all the time.

i use my playstation 2 controller, never have to touch the keyboard all thx to the 12 buttons + 2 analog sticks and the digi pad (hat).

I have a seitek x52 :D this is what it looks like :

that is one nice stick. prolly a little too tech and spendy for me but sweet nonetheless. reminds me of the steel battalion controller only way smaller and without foot controls.

it has 4 axis' throtle control, banking, pitch and yaw, left and right. to bank you twist the stick in the direction you want it to bank to. :)

i need one of those for IW2.

need to find a way to mount them to my chair though, so i can lay back and fly.
