Yeah this has nothing to do with SOL since Kystal is null from the time line but its about StarFox none the less. :P

Does it bother anyone else how between only 2 games these two end up having a plot that involves a new generation of McCloud (a freaking blue lad too??) in DS Command? I mean I never even heard once these two actually -SAY- a " I love you" or even dialog that would hint this would end up happening, you know..Fox and Krystal actually getting freaky with each other [Cept in Command which doesn't exist :yes:]. Sheeeesh talk about speeding up the relationship Nintendo, don't give no one a chance to think >.>


Oh, not to mention the fact of one of the endings in Command, in which a new StarFox team is formed, and Androsses Nephew 'declares war on Corneria'. You guys realize what this means right?? Nintendo is going to toss the current StarFox and make a new one...thats right, kill the plot they screw up so badly :nervous: rid of the mistakes, rid of Fox,Slippy,Falco, the whole team and start with a new mess... I mean psh, why wouldn't Nintendo do it?

We barely can get a decent plot for the old StarFox team with James , Peppy and Pigma from Nintendo, for all we know James could be hiding in F-Zero tournaments or he is a giant space whale...

I just seriously don't see nintendo taking the time to make a decent sequel for StarFox that still involves the original characters.. let alone taking the time to plot out a prequel. Nintendo is trying hard to wipe StarFox from what I can tell. The Only reason the gang is in SSB series is for the sake of history (and SF was the first game of its kind in snes, kind of like other pointless characters like the Mountian Climbers and that 2D stick figure guy...)

I wouldn't mind a restart, kinda like how hey did with the new Star Trek movie. Take the things that made the series awesome but remake it, remove plot holes and re-amp the characters. Give them more depth.

I think a restart would be healthy for the series. We could see the interaction between Fox and his father and then have a tear ripping moment of Fox telling Peppy to look after his son right before he dies a horrible and tragic death. Then we can completely remove his father from the series. No reason for him to keep "coming back?"

Or a restart could change the story alot more, What if Fox has become so depressed he kills himself along with millions of the Lylat system?! So one of the characters Come back in time to stop his father from dieing. Hoping that more fatherly support in his life will stop him from becoming suicidal.

Either way I think a restart of the series could be very health for the series especially since I think the series needs much more character development.

I can see it now, in the next SSB game, Marcus shall be but a a blue furred version of Fox, the 3rd clone.

I don't wanna play as James. Can anyone think of a Comand ending that could possibly be good?

I think the best thing to do would be to start over from where 64 left off.

New StarFox, no. I don't think Nintendo ever though about it. Well technically they did think about it for it to end up being an ending in Command. But they won't apply it for next game. No chance.

Also, you can not like Command, you have your reasons, right. But what the heck with acting SO CHILDISH about it? "LUL Comand suked hard i didnt liek it letz pretend it didnt exist and deny anyting frum it!!!!1!1!1!"
There IS a clear quote in the intro of StarFox Command that tells Fox and Krystal admit being in love with each other. No surprise it could end up with a kid in the end. Beside everybody knew since Adventure they would end up together. What the hell with acting so surprised 8 damn years later?

Jeez.

Finally, a return of the Oikonny family as main opponent through Dash would be the best - plausible - thing to do, as long as it's the good old StarFox team that bring him down. Or try to. Why not a multi-episode game. They owe us some games after all.


However if the restart was possible I would be up for it. But they will never kill off Krystal. It's now like, the first thing most non-starfox-fan people think about when we tell them "StarFox". Get over it.

Yes but you have to understand that no matter if there is alot of activity or not we are still going to release new information out at the pace we think is best.

SoL is working a little differently and working on a different schedule these days don't worry there will be plenty to show. Point being the amount of new threads does not effect how alive the SoL team is. We have been extremely active just haven't shown it publicly. I know personally I would rather my workgroups not show off anything till we have completed much more.

Anyway I personally think Krystal could have a more plausible part of Star Fox in a restart. I don't have anything against her character or relationship with Fox. I really don't have any problem with Adventures or Command. In fact when you make a story that has been established by others (Which Adventures and Command are established because they are published releases) The idea shouldn't be the reasons why that character shouldn't be there BUT rather how can we make it so that it makes more sense that the character is there.

I again point to the Star Trek restart in which the original series alot of the "main" characters that were in the movies weren't main characters in the show. In the restart it shows why they would be main characters. Because if you did what they did in the show and not have them ether half the time people would get upset and say where is Chekhov?!

I am not a fan of the return of the Oikonny family as main opponent through Dash. I think this is a bad move. I think they should stick with him resisting his family's old ways. First off it adds more character depth when he has an inner struggle. I think he should be tempted to follow the old ways. I think you should always wonder if you should trust him.

Character depth is what is needed not a blank repeat of the SAME story over and over. <boring monotone voice>O yes he is the grandkid of one of the bad guys, he must get revenge and do the same things over AGAIN!</boring monotone voice> Look some times doing the same thing over in a series is like an homage to the series and some times its just showing of no new original creativity.

It's very classic, but always better than the alien invasion.

You don't have to see a villain to advance the story. The universe is big! I like the idea of a betrayal or power struggle inside the government. You can make a whole new enemy out of that. Just look at today's world there is always some new enemy that pops up you didn't know about the day before.

How bout that? Fox has to track down a terrorist group that has poped up? Is Dash involved?! Maybe? Maybe not! What if its Krystal? And then just for Slycan Krystal get's executed in the end?!

Wow cry more as you get your DS stick and play with 'The game that never existed' and learn to take a dam hint that its only a joke >.>. Not everyone that doesn't like Command is trying to make you start ranting like a nut-case just released from the CrazyHouse preaching about " How God made Command and the world will blow ups" and etc etc ( btw that was sarcasm because I actually have nothing against you liking Command, so <3) Seriously though Command has flaws and thumbs-up already stated in other threads (endings for sample) but this isn't that thread so moving on...

I was just implying that it only took between 1 game (Assualt) for Nintendo to decide its time to make a scenario which involves a plot of Foxes Son vs Androsses Nephew. Its the worst but the most likely Sequel for StartFox in my opinion. I still don't see Nintendo taking the time to revamp/prequel a series they care less about.
( you can tell they don't care about the series plot because of Dino-Planet mix that didn't make a lick of since besides " the characters looking alike" , big woop.)
You see how Nintendo tosses the StarFox series around to different companies (Rare, Q-Games , sheesh whats next? Can't keep a basic mechanic for sh*t xD) Best case scenario would be Nintendo finally says " Screw it' and gives rights to the series to someone that can revamp it (and boring).

A series reboot would make the series survive all the way. I would love to play Star Fox 64 again with full in-depth cut scenes and whats actually going on the planets. However if Nintendo does, I wish the games would allow you to play all the planets instead of just choosing your own path. Don't get me wrong, I love choosing your own path but the only problem is that it leaves room for future stories to get changed. For example, Some people say that Andross was only "destroyed" as the robot. Some say he died as the brain. In later unsuccessful mangas, one states this and one states that. Its a headache you know? A reboot would be nice, but I think Nintendo wouldn't get rid of adventures and assault. They would have to keep the games, just rev them up. Fix storyline holes and add more features in assault. I for one don't want Assault to be cannon b/c its my favorite next to 64. Adventure's on the other hand could use more challenging puzzles, better voice acting ect.

This is super true. I was talking to my cousin and I said, "Whats your favorite video game series?" he says, "Earthbound and Gears of War." (what a combo right xD) Then I tell 'em, "Well mines The Legend of Zelda and Star Fox." and he says, "Oh so you have a Fur Fetish".

I almost socked him in the nose.(he's 12 btw) :lol:

I don't want Krystal out, but if Nintendo wants Krystal in, they are going to have to add more background then just parents died, flew to a planet riding a dinosaur and raped by General Scales.
 
Well you wouldn't exactly remake the games in a reboot. You would take the main story that makes it Star Fox and reamp it into a new story from the start. Just like how they want to do a Spider-man reboot where he is in highschool. It will have alot of the same characters and the general idea will be the same but the story will ultimately be different and even the choices that the characters make will be different.

I seriously doubt they would get rid of Krystal because of the fact that she has become the untold story of Mary Jane Watson. Fox needs a love life of some sort he is a young guy and a pilot and we all know that young guys especially that love things that are fast love women as well. So he needs a lover and I think it would just make sense if in a reamp they showed more of Krystal actually falling in love with our favorite pilot.

One issue have with Star Fox is that they don't promote mixing races. Then again maybe Blue fox and a Red fox is considered interracial. I don't know, perhaps people would be upset if a Dog race and Feline race had a lover relationship. So the max we can ever do is a Zebra and a Horse Interracial. For the longest time I thought Krystal was a feline character which apparently she was originally designed to be in her original game.

(I swear if someone gets upset and makes a big deal about furries I am going to smack them because my point has nothing to do that its about what Nintendo is promoting in their games. Grow up kids!)

I want anyone to know if they want to get rid of krystal it would be like getting rid of Medli in Wind Waker or Midna in Twilight Princess. Its not ever going to happen. Actually, I'm shocked to be saying this, but I don't want her out ether.

She is a really interesting character and I like her w/e they have done with her. I love all characters in StarFox.
Maybe I have a vision a little biased because I have read all of Kit-Karamak fanfictions which are absolutely awesome. But, fact, I do love them all.

Well before we start on everyone's favorite blue fox, we should start on other characters like Slippy. Because everyone cares about him.

Scratch everything I just said. Krystal needs more background b/c of the stuff that Rare/Nintendo put in. For example what ever happened to her parents or Whats a Fox doing on a Dinosaur filled planet. Also Cerina, was that a Planet? Like why was she wearing all that gold and shit?

That's why I like to believe that a good plot for her would be kinda what happened in James Cameron's Avatar. Its a good plot :biggrin1:

Honestly, think about it. If Nintendo remakes the Star Fox series, instead of Fox going to a planet full of Dinos, Star Fox is sent to Zoness b/c of a raging war of the effects of Star Fox 64 and find out that there is a war with a revolting empire, the opposing defenseless enemy is the Cerina Empire and Krystal resides as there Princess (I sound like a fruit lol) The enemy must be a rival of Star Fox (To add Irony)

After a bunch a fighting and guns a badass battle to stop the empire, Krystal decides to fly with Fox and Co. tada! Awesome remake and still is canon w/o the dinos from "outside" Lylat!

Oh and the empires are not tribal-ish but well tech-advanced. But have the look of giant buildings made of stone. Everyone's also blue. ;D
