Sponsor memberships take effect as soon as you have paid. The status of "official gwbb sponsor" entitles you to:

• a few extra vbulletin forum features (ex: animated avatars, unlimited PMs, animated profile pics etc etc)
• access to the sponsor request forum, where your requests will be treated with highest priority
• greater respect in the community, as a patron of what we do here at GW

As you can see, you dont technically get anything completely special for donating that elevates you over regular users, but get to support the projects you love by giving them a home.

All donations go toward paying the server monthly fees. Since I am having trouble shouldering the $100/mo that it costs to run this place, the sponsor memberships have been created to help me with that. If you enjoy this site or enjoy playing Fs2netd, please consider making a donation.

Yea, but its not now. But with the condition and state of everything going on there right now, who knows when they will be moving here.
