Commandos are cheesy. This mod isn't cheesy, is it?

IS IT?

LoL.

Nice banner. :)

I have to query your selection of UT2004 for a single player mod though...
I would of understood if it was a multiplayer mod, but I would of thought that SinglePlayer would of attracted a more recent engine. For example HL2 or Doom3...?

The differences between HL2 and UT2004's graphical capabilities are few, in my opinion. The lightmap in HL2 is much worse though, and overall I actually think UT2004 looks better. Also I found UnrealEd much easier to use than Hammer. On the other hand while Doom 3 looks better than both (nobody argue this please, it's not the point) from my experience it's much harder to develop for. The map editor gave me a headache, anyway.

As far as I can see UT2004 is the best choice for something like this, since they've got the vehicles and spaceflight thing right out of the box, and it's about equal (or at least pretty close) to HL2's graphics.

Ah k. Makes sense I guess. :)

Space flight out of the box? Did you just give away one of the mods super secret features? :p

UT2004 has an assault mission in space. With ships and stuff that you fly around. It's kinda neat. That's what I meant by out of the box, it's already built into UT2K4.

What RA said. And first we were going to use D3, but then (for the reasons above) changed it to UT2k4

Swamp, I'd add the SOC logo to it as our character is a SOC operative after all :)

There's still a long way to go until this thing gets released.. if it gets released. You can bet UT 2k4 to be available as a budget software, then :P

We are already at modelling stages. The "plan" was worked out a month ago. What we need now is a skin artist to start skinning the weapons we already have.

The team is thinking of changing the name from Freespace: Hegemonia to something else.

These are the current names we are thinking of changing the project to, the one of with most votes will become the new name. Happy voting!

lol I like Unto Glory! :p

It would seem that there is a distinct shortage in Texture artists / skinners these days...
