What's really strange is that I've throttled the number of PMs that can be sent. So very few users should be getting them.

Seems to me that the bot isn't spamming the member list but is going to Most Active posters or the list of admins.

Saying "Make me an admin" instantly pushes someone to the bottom of the list because those who crave power are generally the least suited to wielding it. :p

Wouldn't it be better to find out how these spambots are getting in rather than stopping them once they're already inside?
