Phobos corvette project...
« on: December 18, 2004, 05:16:17 PM »
I am currently working on the Phobos corvette for use im my campaign. I am currently re-texturing it and uber-polyizing it. Here is it as of now. All that has been done to it so fat is some minor adjustments to the textures and turrets.

What I use to model is Truespace 3.2 and Blender. Blender is very easy to use, but you will need truespace to join it all together.
Here is a pic of one of the Turrets I am working on. I am also working on a Beam turret and a Flak turret.

Here is the Site that has both Blender and Truespace.

Yeah, the FS mod section is coming to life!

It's Dark's model orginally he made it to Griffon_Uk campaing (Temporal Mechanics) dark never released that ship so Woomeister made it from Dark's concept
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men\'s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth : for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” (Luke

Depends on whether you like big ships or not. I personally quite enjoyed the campaign. Several other people didn't.

Its much like Derilict (not in plot or anything, but in the way people treat it...)...

for example, I cannot stand Derilict, I liked Inferno (albeit they are both challenging, even on Easy)... There are other people who swear by Derilect, and absolutely hated Inferno. There's people who liked both, and there's people who liked neither... You just have to play it to find out... :)

To be honest, i have yet to play a user made campaign.  I get so burnt out flying my own missions that i don't even want to think about flying when i am not working.  I have a bunch of them downloaded, just haven't played any.  Well i started playing one....can't remember the name of it.....it isn't even listed on skippy's campaign page...but oh my god the fred atrocities did abound.  after getting about half way through the repairs, i just deleted the whole damned thing.

The only problem with Inferno is that it is huge, I really need to find out if it is good before I spend the 5 hours to download it. :squeeze:
