'Other' Projects from SOL Staff Members?
« on: January 29, 2010, 04:19:11 AM »
I was just wondering what other projects (flash movies, mod converts, games) SOL staff members worked on in the past and are still perhaps working on (while working on SOL like they should be cough cough).

What other things have ya'll worked on separately from SOL?

(I remember someone on staff posting something about this cool flash movie called H.E.L.L. forgot who though but I watched it and it has great voice acting  )

I am currently building my own website which an image and link will replace my resident evil sig. Because of the fact that that mod is dead. ~tear tear cry cry~

I will actually have a specific spot on my website where I will update a list of current projects I am involved with.

Mainly I work on projects that revolve around school so depending on my classes will actually change what I actually do in a project. But most projects I have been involved with has mainly been about working with the community and doing web work.

Through many long years and the different changes that the project has gone through I am glade to still be apart of Digital Brilliance which is a Freelancer based community. It also has been the host for the Solurus Systems Mod(SSM) designed by the brilliant Lancer Solurus who owns Digital Brilliance. I also worked on SSM and several off shoots when the group split and then split again. Now days SSM has made a come back at its original home of Digital Brilliance being worked on by its original creator. I currently am not doing any work on SSM but am still a Digital Brilliance admin.

Galaxy Empire is a game that is being built from the ground up. Meaning that the game engine is currently being built specifically for this game from scratch. I have been on this project from its start. I am happy to see its progress and worked on a video for the project as a final for one of my classes.

Warped Edge is a community that really is a reformation of Dark Cosmos. Its a community that hosts several games and strives to explore and expand its community into as many games as possible. I am currently working on new logo designs and web designs for the community.

I have been trying to keep the amount of projects I am involved with down. Its very hard for me to not want to jump head first into everything. Including SoL, school and trying to get my own stuff going.

[Note: One day I will get around to reviving my DarkCosmos! It was my community my website my logo. I plan on reviving it as a website that will activity search out, review and host mods, indies and f2p games! One day... for now you can just look at my pretty flash effect here.]

If it had good voice acting in it then it was probably posted by our voice director D-Mac.

I directed and rewrote all of H.E.L.L.'s dialogue, so I'm certainly happy to hear you enjoyed it! Hopefully it also removed any of your previous fears surrounding SoL's eventual quality of voicework.

There's a lot to list, so just some favourite on-going projects of mine:

Superhero Slayers - I story edit, voice direct, and play various parts.
The VG Cats Adaptation - I assist with casting, play various, and did the audio mix for the *horrid* Star Fox bit.
Reincarnation - Point 'n' click game series. I voice The Demon.
Super Nuke Bros. Melee - A Smash Bros clone. I voice Meowth.
Smashtasm - A Brawl Machinima where I voice the wacky narrator.

Finally, I HIGHLY recommend any Star Fox 64 fan check out the Project Inthri 3 game I can't shut up about, if you haven't before. Though I do voice the main character, FX, I'd be crazy about it even I weren't in it. Stage 4 is remarkable, and it's the 2D space shooter I always wished I could make.

I write (translate in english) and illustrate the adventures of original characters of mine in the universe of Starfox. Mainly there:

Others projects I'm involved in aren't related to video games and are rather related to embedded electronics engineering.
In the Depths of Lylat, an old Planet is dying...
Forgotten for centuries in the History of Lylat, Taklys vanishes place after place, until no Life lasts anymore on it\'s surface...
Bannished by the Cornuseans milleniums ago, Cursed by the Wrath of Andross nowadays, some of the remaining Shadamars alive now stand up by the cornerian side to revenge!
