So Fox really is God...
« on: December 31, 2009, 07:49:40 AM »
Based on this unbelievable article I came across the internet, the reason my Miyamoto games have been sucking so much is because he has been disobeying his gods, that being the Kitsune Fox. The man pulled away from his beginning inspiration and now he is paying the price. Man! I finally found the answer! Sorry if anyone here already knew about this, but I also find it kinda creepy, and the fact that I play a game based of some fox god, is kinda creepy.

Read the article and watch the video!

(it also makes me want to have a pet kitsune fox too! They look soo cute!)

Get a Japanese Game designer, and you end up with something epic like Mario and Starfox64 .

Get an American  and/or French Game Co. and you end up with Burger King Racers and Superman 64.

Now lets give them another good 20, or 30 years and I'm sure we will be playing games with subliminal messages in Japanese with a main character that has 8 legs and her name is Shiva, with a gun in each hand and fights in space against these evil aliens called E-marikuns along side her compains named Budda and Okami with their space crafts.

I think Nintendo's gotten a bit too big for its own good.

I'd like to see in ten years that Nintendo screw something up majorly, lose most of its fanbase, and return to its original creative roots. Games have become far too mainstream, and many of the people who brought us the most innovative games of our generation just don't seem to have that spark anymore.

Very true Star Yoshi, but I wonder what kind of stress Miyamoto even hoes through (if he does)
I mean, to always follow fans opinions on games and shape them to suit there preferences. I that may not be the case. I mean Miyamoto wants more terrain and landmaster, while Q-Games wants more air.
Why can he just give into what we want? (maybe his Fox god is controlling him, idk)

I mean, I wouldn't want to be 80 years old and still think of video games, I got better things to worry about. I would pass the "Idea" side of the industry to people who respect the series and would work to make it better.

Huh... or games like Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, H.A.W.X. or EndWar... and other games born in the studios of Ubisoft, which is a french studio (even if they have foreign offices).

Yeah, so?
All editors/publishers can release good and crappy games. I'm a fan of The Tomorrow War from 1C but their other games suck. Does that mean russian have a good game ratio of 1/10? No!

That's why I countered that statement about game designers sorted by nationality.

I disagree, I think he is still finding ways to record the fun and none mundane things about life in video games. See his inspirations weren't Gods it was the fact that he looked at making games as a window into a world where its familiar and reminds us of things in our own live without the mundane spirit.

I knew he'd gotten the inspiration for Fox's character from a statue of a flying fox in some Japanese temple, but I'd no idea it was a kitsune fox.

in other words, he took the role of the mundane spirit and made himself "the god of video games."
