Nix kinda means Nothing in German, which is/was my favorite record label (till it went defunct and all the crap with John Malm went down...) but everywhere I went to sign in for a handle of sorts, nix was taken.  I tacked on 1999 cause it was fitting at the time back in 1996....  Another reason why I chose it was because i thought it was a cool name of a character in a movie with Scott Bakula in it.  I cant remember what it was but it was a Clive Anderson book I think... (woah this takes me back)
Since then I've used other handles but if i'm online and gaming, I'll go by NIX most of the time.  Other times i've been known to use shadenfreude and mesosparkle. (the simpsons.....)

That's correct. "nix" is a short from for "nichts". ;)

Singh means Lion, right?

In hindi, yes. All sikhs have the second name as Singh, with family name being the third name. Hence my name is technically unique enough to identify me from others on the board, yet if I so choose, not unique enough for a complete identification.

I go by a second nickname these days, if you have seen it: Alternate22.

Alternative meaning/form for the 22nd Alternate.

What is an alternate? It can be a different choice; a different solution to the current scenario...a different way of going about things...a different way to beat the current system. An alternative option for the word 'alternative'. A different creation...

in other words.....Y.N.K.

(cookie for those who figure out what that means)

lets see i got my name when i started playing elite on my grandpa's 386 back when i was 13 or so. pilot names were limited to 8 letters and around that time i wrote a paper on neclear weapons for my english class. so the neme was nukebomb. this lasted me through descent 2 and quake and finallky quake2. then i started playing freespace and finally i could use a longer name. so it was now nukebomb overkill. this was fine till i got older and realized it was abit childish. i remember for years i was the only nukebomb_overkill on icq. after awile everyone started using my name and it became generic, and i grew weary of typing it to login to things. after the vbb closed down i dropped 12 characters and the space/underscore and became nuke. i remain nuke in the freespace community bui ive gone by e-vil on irc and the_venom_of_hatred_for_man on yahoo, napalm enima on aim. but only because of the limit of 1 person per name, and because i dont like to put numbers/dates, whatever in my names. but il keep nuke as long as i stay with the fs community.

I had a half Shepherd half Wolf...his name was Shadow.  The IH was added in mechwarrior 3 when i founded the Iron Horde, one of the more successful teams there.

...I met the real Iceman, the guy they stole the callsign from for the TopGun movie (he was on-base during the filming and they liked his callsign).

But I got my name, well...I just made it up. Originally I was Fighter_Captain on the Volition forums, but I made a stupid post and got bashed for it, so I changed my name to this...except I misspelled it. So for that entire time and my first year on HLP I was "Unkown_Target" until an admin kindly changed it for me, and here I am :D
