Nintendo making a StarFox game themselves again, that would be interesting to see at this point. Could be a flop, or it could be awesome. But I got to say there are some great 3rd party companies out there, a few of them could do a decent job with StarFox. Retro Studios perhaps, but that comes from the first Metroid Prime being as good as it was. I want to say Team Ninja, but their already working on Other M and fighting games seem to be their thing, don't know how they would handle a shooter. GearBox Software might be good too considering they had a hand in a few expansions of Half-Life, and Borderlands was pretty fun.

Anymore companies you folks can throw in the hat here?

I couldn't exactly see another Nintendo-EAD developed game it doing any worse with sales/critics than the last couple SF games. Nintendo has such a great track record of quality with games they've developed internally.

As for 3rd parties, I tend to think of companies that've made Aerial or Space Shooters before, and are familiar with working on Nintendo systems.

Factor 5 - Made the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series on GameCube and N64.
Shin'en - Nanostray and Iridion space shoot-em-up series on DS and GBA, respectively.
Treasure - Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun shmups, and the recent Sin & Punishment rail shooter on Wii.

Rogue Squadron was pretty good, I think Factor 5 would be therefore a good alternative.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I vote for Factor 5. But do any of these groups still exist today?

lionhead studios i think, they seem more attuned to rpgs but they love spending time on there games and not just making them.

maybe treasure or factor 5 idk

nintendo just needs to get off their asses
