Full Episode Titles for Season 4.5 released
« on: September 18, 2008, 06:34:56 PM »
Producer Mark Verheiden (now working on Season 3 of Heroes) has posted a full list of titles for Season 4.5. They don't seem to be spoilery but caution is advised:

4.11: Sometimes a Great Notion
4.12: A Disquiet Follows My Soul
4.13: The Oath
4.14: Blood on the Scales
4.15: No Exit
4.16: Deadlock
4.17: Someone to Watch Over Me
4.18: Island in a Stream of Stars ('Islanded' is presumably a typo)
4.19: Daybreak, Part 1
4.20: Daybreak, Part 2
4.21: Daybreak, Part 3

Unless "Islanded" is being used as a verb. Considering the somewhat poetic grammar they've used in the past, I don't think they're above verbing a noun.

They said season 4 would be the last one, but what if they do Season 4.75?

Someone on Sitrep pointed out that the "Islanded" title is a quote:

“For a moment of night we have a glimpse of ourselves and of our world islanded in a stream of stars - pilgrims of mortality, voyaging between horizons across the eternal seas of space and time”

Sounds very apt for the whole series.

I like the look of the Daybreak episodes as well from Werthead's second post. Rymer directed all my favourite and the big action episodes, and obviously Ronald D Moore isn't a bad writer.... guess they couldn't have had it any other way for a strong finish.

"the Plan" tv movie? Great for Olmos to direct, but seriously we need a whole movie to find out the great plan??? How much of a 2 hour movie (minimum time I would imagine) will actually be relevant or will it involve a lot of flashbacks we cant immediately tie to anything or appreciate? :)

It will definately be heavy on character motivation knowing Olmos but seriously deep and disturbing on the human aspects. I'm looking forward to it for sure!

Apparently the TV movie spans a chunk of Seasons 1 and 2 (possibly up to New Caprica) and focuses heavily on the Cylon characters (apart from D'Anna; Lawless was apparently unavailable), although Tigh and Tory have apparently only minor roles. The rumour is that Starbuck and Apollo aren't in it at all. Adama and Helo also have quite small roles as well. The movie is apparently very heavy on Cavill and Tyrol.

Word is that the story will show the events of Seasons 1 and 2 from the Cylon POV, explaining what the much-vaunted 'Plan' was supposed to be. Apparently the movie will use information from Season 4.5 to set it up, which is why it cannot be shown before the Season 4 finale (and unlike Razor it can't be viewed earlier in the series).

hmm, I don't like how this 'Plan' and 'Caprica' series keep going back in time through the franchise.  What happens next, are they going to go back to the original cylon war too?  Prequels are fun, but you always risk profoundly fucking up continuity, or just generally making something that sucks (ex. ST Ep. 1).

I'd be happy if they focused either more of what happened in the fleet (like among the public), what was happening in other places throughout the 12 colonies when the cylons first attacked, or who else survived, either on or off the colonies, spawning all new series involving other surviving fleets going in completely different directions from the original BSG.
