I have 3DS Max 4, pretty old version but at least its legal.
I can't find the Service Pack any where for it unfortunately.
If anyone has it let me know, I would really like to get hold of it.

Anyway v4 is limited to textures 1000x1000

My question on textures;
Does anyone have a short tutorial on Max texturing, grouping, & lighting a model before using the POF export?

Also I was working with a model for the Space Park in BtRL.
Trying to texture the beast, but I can't seem to get an unwrap to work with it properly. Mainly the torus and arms I joined into one object hoping to make the animation of its rotation easier. It made the unwrap go haywire as I expected it would. Too many negative returns I would venture.

Should I texture them all as separate objects then assemble them into one object? Or should I just group them as children of the Torus?

If there is a tutorial up somewhere already, just point me there please. Thank you.
I am going blind sifting through the stuff and finding mostly broken links.:)

I figured out how to change the UV map in Lithunwrap.
Finally I can do things in a means worthwhile.
Nothing bothers me I\'m already disturbed.
