Thanks for the info, Cl1nt!  I recalled of the cylons leaving the 12 colonies, just never heard about their homeworld.
Ishii-kun, I cannot agree with you about the cylons almost limitless resources.  Everything must have their limits, and we don't know much about the cylons reproduction/resurrection rate.  I do know the cylons have an experienced fleet from the mistakes they made after being pwn'd by Galactica.  What a good... learning experience!

Cylon Home world is probably a huge space station... with tonnes of missle tubes.
There are three kinds of people in the world, those who think, those who think they think, and those who rather die.

OT: For pure wild assed speculation.  Maybe the Cylon home world is biologically uninhabitable. So the skinjobs, being in control now, want some dirt underfoot where they can breathe.

You kidding? We can get atmosphere if we want it thankyouverymuch.

Four Score and so many months ago, us cylons kicked your colonial butts.

To eliminate the human race.

But they didn't nuke everything. Several cities remained relatively untouched, the inhabitants merely dieing from radiation or cylon forces.

Also, we don't even know the conditions of the other planets. I always considered that they didn't nuke one of the colonies, but captured it by force, but also spreading the word the colony was nuked. Aerelon would be an easy target you'd assume.
Or something.

well, the cylons dont seem to be greatly affected by the radiation on the colonies though did they? i mean, during season 1, Helo needing loads of radiation meds, the resistane fighters also mentioned they had loads, where as the cylons never mention them and are never seen taking them

Plus, Athena resisted radiation pretty well (all things considered) in the star cluster passage.

I agree with you, when the resistance blew up the coffe house (why would cylons want to get more caffine? they are machines) #6 and Boomer killed another model and #6 said it would be at least 36 hours with the 30 some others killed up stairs.

watch the last 2 episodes of season 2, The preacher Cylon Cavill, explains that the Cylons tried to become 'more human' ( ...the children of humanity) instead of
'staying' machines ("...that's what we are" ).

They adopted the human way of life/ socializing.
And no one can resist a iced Cappuccino or a latte machiato, not even a machine.;)
