A:its a stand alone total conversion for freespace 2

Q:what is the story of Starlancer:The Sol War?

A: The story will take place of the war between the Allaince and the Coalition for space dominance and the control of Sol sector.


Q:Will all the models be in freespace  that we saw in Starlancer?

A: Yes , you will be able to see all the ships, bases ,and capships from the oringal game and more


Q:What about the ingame cut scens starlancer is famous for?


A: Yes you will be able to see what we can do with the freespace engine to make ingame cut scenes and other effects from the original Starlancer.


Q:Is it Free?

A:Yes 100% free and standalone like all the others in the freespace comunity

Well, hello...
...StarLancer Ships and Background with Freespaces easy to use communication system and squadron managment.
Sounds like a dream come true.

Some questions:

Starlancer has some great cockpits what actually improves the immersion. Will your mod make use of cockpits ?
I know what FS-Engine don't support cockpits, but the guys from BTRL have shown some nice videos with a cockpit for the viper and the track-ir.

In Starlancer multiplayer most people fly a fighter with reverse thrust, the other fighters don't get used because without reverse thrust you get pwnd.
How do you avoid this problem ?
-giving all fighter revers thrust ?
-giving no fighters revers thrust ?

The fighters in Starlancer lost their ordenance, clearly seeing in the landing cutsceens.
Is this possible in the FS-Engine ?

The engine does support cockpits now. That's how come BtRL has them. :) And if you're talking about seeing the missiles externally that's been possible for a while too.

No cockpit...no starlancer!

There is no way this game should be made if it does not contain cockpit views.

The cockpit view made Starlancer a far more realistic game than Freespace and to not have it would be a crime!
