I don't know what to tell you, guys. Perhaps it would be an idea to get hold of Lightning and get him to sort something out with another clan?

no... we just need another sweep up on inactives and then recruit people :D and no waiting list shit just yes or no because if there is a waiting list tis causes 2 problems.

1)people get bored and just leave the game or get in another clan
2)People see a long assed wait list with said inactive people  and get intimidated with a potential long wait and sod off

I'm not entirely sure what to suggest. This problem is going to occur time and time again because there is no one in charge to set up proper matches against other clans. Without matches (whether they be against our squadrons or another clan) there is nothing connecting the Wing together aside from a love of BSG and BtRL.

The Major's (and previous leaders') disappearance has been a great problem in my opinion. As leading figures, it is their responsibility to get games together. What is first needed is someone who can be around regularly and can get in contact with other clans for arranging games.

Once we have someone who can get things together, we can figure out who is still around and who isn't, and using that information we can sort out a couple of games. But first we need to find out where the Major is, and whether we need to find a new leader or not.

I'll get in contact with Lightning first and find out what is going on. If he is still not able to attend then I guess we'll have to have a think about other options. I'll be able to give you guys an answer by tomorrow sometime.

Well I spoke to Lightning and informed him to check in. Now we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I think the real problem is several things.

1) The major problem is the stability of BTRL's multi code. I know personally that the few times my squad has tried to connect for practice and from the few multi games I've played that it is hard to connect. Sometimes people can't see the other persons game, or can't see anyones game, or can see another game but can't see their own. And actual games are laggy at best. This is of course no fault of the BTRL team's, its Fs2's code is old, although I know its going to be improved in the next release.

2) Minor but our team is spread out across the time zones, If I remember correctly the last 2 leaders were GMT so I could never make the practices because I was either at work or asleep.

I think it might benefit us to find another space shooter game to work together on until btrl gets the multi bugs worked out and dedicated servers working.
