Is it too much to ask that you crop the image before posting an entire screenshot?

I like this kind of stuff. I've seen many other examples of more personalized makings and paint-jobs on vipers around these good internets. I really like the idea of specific markings for viper squadrons on different battlestars (or battlestar groups).

Keep up the good work!

Looks good work.

But, take my advice - go to Main menu/starting screen in the game, and press F3 key. It's a nice feature of FS2_Open that will make taking sample screenshots much easier than using the Tech Room.

Basically it enables you to get full screen shots of models, without distractions. You can even disable rotation, turn the ships with mouse, zoom in/out, and select different lighting options to be enabled or not.:)

Building up quite a skin collection there. If the insignia system for FS2 only supported more elaborate UV coordinates and allowed for multiple locations, you wouldn't have to decipher the UV space of each model to place Squadron logos and such. Of course other skin changes outside logos would require base texture modification like you're doing now.

What locations on fighters would u people like to see insignias and logos placed? (Besides wings and rudder)

on the mk7's at least the smooth engine parts might be nice, i think thats where they say (insert battlestar name here). or, not that you'd see it much, the bottom would be a huge area to work with. like kara in the crashed raider flying above lee. just an idea

first off i dont know what most of that means
second the locations ive attached pics to help with
that.
pic 1) around the cockpit if you can avoid the ridge around the cockpit.and lower engine casing because its a open area ive worked with that part before as seen in my first
post in this thread but i dont think it looks right for some resin.
pic 2)around the lower intake but i tend to put decals there
but it would be a nice area to try

but i am just speaking for the mk 7

as for wings and the top of the nose im working a type of group marking concept. like wings would mark your group like colonials or cylons or a third group that something else  running tough my head.then the area around of the rudder or as shown in the pics the cockpit would be team logo and the top of the nose would mark the flight leader or something like that. its just something i have rolling around in my head. to legitimize extra marking

Make one red and one blue, both animated, and we can have Tron vs Shark dofights.
