[Colonial] Blackbird
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:04:42 PM »
Been Working on the blackbird mesh recently. Not only have I made the model much more solid, but also the mesh is alot closer to the show. Sadly, the renders have not improved. :p

I hope to have this Finished, LOD'ed, Debris and UV'ed by the end of next week.

I said UV'ed, not textured. :p I honestly Wish I could texture, but I'll just stick to the model and UV'ing, and let a photoship wiz make the texture. :)

Nice, although I'm pretty sure the nose slants forward :)

How much texturing skill do you need for the blackbird anyway? Make an all black UV map and stick the word Laura on in photoshop. Even I could do that much. :p

:p It's a tad more complicated than that, also it would need a better mapper to create the normal map that would really make this thing nice.

@UT, actually with all the reference material I have, it appears it does not slant.

I posted this yesterday.  Or so I thought.

This model is based off renderings from Zoic.  It's very usefull for the overall form of Blackbird:

Wow, thanks a ton. Really quite surprised to see how close I got using only a handful of show shots. :D

Those rear-end shots will come in very handy.

I have the kit.  I could probably take some photos of the parts for you.  There are a lot of parts though.

The kit is in parts.  Are there any particular pieces?

The nose from both angles. Everything else is going good, but the exact size of the nose is important.
