Im running EQ6400 at the moment and got nothing but priase for it. I've not heard of a single complaint with the c2d chips.

I've heard some serious complaints about them.

Although I've heard even scarier stuff about the new Celerons.

Anyway I'm going to split the processor stuff off into it's own thread in a little bit since BSG uses neither AMD nor Intel processors as far as we know.

Just out of curiousity have y'all tested what happens when someone tries to run the Pegasus through a Basestar?  I assume the Capital ships are all scripted AI in the mission but I know that was a noticeable problem in Battlefield 2142.

May God have mercy on the souls who attempt to penetrate Galactica's point defence grid, with its 260 AAA turrets!

8 ventral belly turrets in 2 batteries of 4, and on the underside of the upper head, there's another 8 in 4 batteries of 2...go back a few pages and you'll even have the pics to confirm this on the model ;)

24 twin railguns as main armament overall ^^

Great job you're doing here Omni...is there a chance you could post some real close picks of the AAA turrets?

Omniscraper. You should post these images over on SFM. Theres some fantastic work you've done on this and I'm certain they would appreciate seeing a much lower poly version with the same kind of detail.

Did you drop the numbers of AA placements on purpose?  Most of them are in pairs between the ribs.  I can understand dropping them to one between ribs for Polygon limitations.

I'm over my polygon budget by 10k. Currently at 95k polys. The AAA turrets alone (265 turrets) are taking up 12k.

If my calculations aren't wrong that means you have 45 polygons for each AAA turret. Perhaps it could be possible to use less polygons for each turret. I don't think they need to be that detailed. But of course I'm talking from what I can see, I might be horribly wrong :P
