This is the highest LOD. There will be lower polygon versions that render at farther distances.

Keep in mind, that with the probable ditching of Direct3D, the OpeGL code is looking forward to a massive upgrade in terms of performance.
Bobbau also seems to work on something nifty.

That's by pdf from years ago.  That should be called version one.  It is 4 times more detailed now.

Can you link me to that version?

Oh, please, please, PLEASE tell me we can fly into the hangar and between the pods and the main hull in game. I just had a vision of a Viper going in at full speed and making a tailing Raider crash right into where the Chief and Cally were trapped, while it scrapped it's paint just missing the hull.

Damn, it is a BEAUTIFUL model.

Boy, bet modelling those ribs really started to grind after a while eh ?
Out of interest, do you use splines ? Or Poly modelling ?

First few seconds of that should answer your question. :) Remember that's the older model. :)

Hnnnn... Need... BSG model... *drool* That video, and the pics, look fantastic...

How would a GeForce 7900 GS handle that bad boy?
"Here\'s a toaster, there\'s a toaster, and another little toaster. Fuzzy toaster, Funny toaster, toaster, toaster, FRAK!"
"If you\'re going to sing that frakking song every time you get in the cockpit, I\'m bumping you back to nugget, Tera!"

Gonna have to update the site with youtube links to replace off line links.

That OLD video was made with a Geforce 6600gt on a 2.66ghz dual xeon 2gb ram(game only used one CPU at the time). Core 2 duos are 3 times faster than my aging system and I can only imagine what the 7000 series geforce can do.

Wait for AMD to release their quad core before you buy a new processor, because unlike intel, AMD releases their chips when their ready, Intel Core Duo and their Core Duo Quad were release ahead of schedule to get them on the market as soon as posible. And all I have been hearing from friends with Core Duo's is complaints, never anything good. So if your gunna get a new processor now, I strongly reccommend NOT getting an Intel.

Im running EQ6400 at the moment and got nothing but priase for it. I've not heard of a single complaint with the c2d chips. Persoanlly i think AMD/ATI are not going to catch back up again. They're xtx2950x thing is 8 months late, and its still not as fast as the 8800GTX in most aspects and that card is almost a year old. AMD/ATI need to pull themselves together becuase all they've got is there die hard hard fans hanging on with dear life hoping they'll release something to get excited about.
