Taylor, does the new reporting code report the IP address the game is trying to connect to?

No, but that's a good idea.  I'll go ahead and add that to the log output right now. :)

The new code does default to using fs2netd.game-warden.com if no config exists though, which should cut down on basic problems.  And it doesn't use fs2open_pxo.cfg any longer either.

i have the files. they may be outdated, the text reads
67.10.64.55
12000
where can i download fresh ones?

Yeah, that's the old IP address.  Replace it with what karajorma said and it should work a lot better.

ok so i am logging in ok and all that. But now i cant see any games, so i updated my fs2open to v 3.6.9 but i still havent seen a game since i could log in. Any thoughts? ps in my launcher settings under the network tab it always has to force port 7808..is that meant to be there?

7808 is the port it uses anyway so forcing 7808 achieves nothing.

You're probably not seeing games because there are no games to see. FS2 multiplayer tends to be slow. Things will hopefully pick up a little with 3.6.10 and even more with 3.7.
