Not certain. If a good FREDder from another project applies to join us we'd probably consider it quite hard. Not certain if we're going to actively poach from other projects though as that encourages other to do the same to us :)

When it comes to the Demo it looks like you'll get everything from either myself or Axem though. It's probably not worth the hassle of bringing someone new up to speed with everything that needs to be done differently in a BtRL mission.

That means a lot of work for me but I suppose I can't complain. I've been in the community for 5 years and it's kinda embarrassing that I still haven't released anything (apart from a couple of multiplayer proof of concept missions). At least when the BSG demo is out I can finally point at something and say that I wrote it and people are playing it :)

Being standalone is basically the holdup.We need to finish a LOT of files up so that the game can be released without needing FS2.
If you want your bugs fixed and features added, you gotta get us coders! See the help wanted thread if you want to help out!

No singleplayer AT ALL. No tutorials either (and FS2 is a very complicated game for an arcade space sim. If you're not used to them you will need help if only to help you learn the keys).

I'm working hard on both of these but we want to at least have one or two singleplayer missions when we launch so that people have something to do when no one is around to play with and also so that they can practice.

We are going way beyond what TBP did, as far as FS2 independence goes.

So, I'm trying to get the fellas into these great games this week while at work. I've played some videos of, "F.E.A.R." and others and they are starting to get the hint. However, I went to play the BSG: BTRL vids and they're gone.  

What's the word on them?

while yes they are gone here, which is something that needs to be fixed, they also have some up on youtube that you could show them

Ok, i just downloaded FS2 so as soon as i play around with the FRED program and get to know it a bit better i'll get back to this forum.

Now that's an interesting offer. We have people on the team like CannonFodder who are good animators but they're busy doing modeling tasks etc.

It's not my choice but I certainly wouldn't mind having an intro for the game or individual loading screens for the missions like TBP has.

I did those :)

Yep. That was pretty much what I was on about. Although you're right in that any animator we tap should either have the relevent BSG models already, be able to make them, or know where to get them from.
