you guys are a bunch of nuts. I'd help out but I have two mods aready on my plate plus school and two part time jobs.... Yeah even beta testing would be too much right now... I'd offer my fred2 skills but until my other mods get going good.... man this stinks.

@jc4jc Well, thanks. Even if you don't have the time, I still appreciate you want to help us. :)

@Raa
You did already one important thing for us. ;)
That's quite fine. (For a while  :drevil: )

@All the others
We can't post shots of anything new for a while. At least no in-game shots.

Be prepared. The next in-game shots should be rather impressive.  :nod:

Hm...I like what I see.  I would like to help in the creation of a sequel to this.  Question:  Will this have ground missions like in SF: Assult?  Only way way better.  I have some ideas.  Contact me if your interested.

No. The Freespace engine does not have the ability to use character models like  the Unreal engine. Fox would look like a flying stiff.

I could continue looking for a game to mod for a sequel.  In the mean time, here are some of my ideas.

*For one, if you could implement the walker from SF2.
*The Arwing-S:  The highly advanced model of the arwing.  Once you finish adding all the superior parts to it.  Has two more guns attached to it, which are Heatseeking missles. They should be faster than Nano bombs.  Fire simultaneously. Limited.  The Lasers have upgraded power, cant charge, but produces a machine gun effect when the fire button is held down.
*The charge shot from all starfox games.  I hope its in this one.
*Enemy fighters, with different look.  Includig laser color.
*Long Level design.  I know you can do it.  Just make the map lengthy instead of square.
*A mission sequence of some sort.  Long short short Long short short Long...ect.
More to come.

I don’t want you to think I am shooting down your ideas this is just the reality of things right now.

I don’t think it is possible to implement a walking vehicle. The Freespace 2 engine was designed only for space combat and does not support the type of animation needed for that.

We want to keep with Arwing designs seen in the games.

We are creating more graphically up to date enemy ships but they keep the same design that they had in SF64. We also have more up to date looking effects as well.

The “square map” is hardcoded into the game engine and can’t be changed in the editor. This is one of the limitations that DaBrain was talking about in the ReadMe thread.

Alright.  Thats fine.  You guys have an arwing model right?  Would you say its as detailed as the Assault one?

Well, I think I could post a small progress shot, just to kill the 'no shot' passage. ;)

The texture is not complete yet.
