I live in Niedersachsen (lower-saxony) near the border to mecklenburg-Vorpommern (meckelburg). It's about 60 km airline west from Hamburg......pretty nice area, directly at the Elbe (a river).

Ohh and by the way I need everyone's first- and last name and their callsigns please. Send them to me via pm. Thank you!

Capt. Noaim, Sir, permission to speak freely. I'd like to request that Blue Sqdn take roll call! I rarely hear from any of our squad mates. I'd just like to keep the 58th fresh in everyone's mind, Sir. Blue Squadron, SOUND OFF!

We apparently suck at this...what gives? Do we need to consolidate Squadrons due to lack of participation? Or should I just request a transfer?

LOL...nice. I'm more inclined to believe that half the squadron (and maybe half the Wing) is AWOL. I know that I'm certainly AWOL...mentally speaking, that is.

I'm always around, but I don't have the answers to give you guys. We've been through the redesign of the Wing, and that was supposed to have sorted out everything, especially the pilots that signed up and then never returned.

As it is, the problem appears to have come back, and I'm at a loss of what could be done differently given the current situation. The only thing that comes to mind would be a basic disbanding of the 58th, and starting the recruitment process again. Those that are still around and would like to remain in the 58th will have top priority before other requests.

But that seems quite extreme, and not too far from what we attempted to do last time. And we can see what that's lead to...

Maybe instead of an all-out disbanding...something more along the lines of just "tightening the ranks"? Maybe we simply scale back the number of Squadrons...and with that in mind, we give people simple orders: You must sign back into a Wing Roll-Call to make known your intention to serve...and also, you must sign into the forum/site at least once a week.

I think the timing/server availability that plagues the training sessions should remain a separate affair. But as for general attendance...well, let me ask you, Chief...I served in both the US Army and Navy...now what do you think would have happened to me if I had only showed my face once every few weeks or so?:nervous:

you'd get booted

There's also the problem of "nothing to do". Believe it or not, it gets really boring around here with such sparse forum activity. I actually swing by the forums a few times just to see if anything new pops up, such as comps, training sorties and other things of interest. Most of the time, besides the average reply, I don't see much in those terms. If we set something up to keep our pilots "entertained", it's a safe bet that we'll have a higher return rate then we're having now.

As for our situation right now, I'm agreeing with Tee's suggestion. Reconsolidating is our best option, since we still have enough pilots to fill several squadrons

right. our 4th pilot never showed up. maybe we can take three incomplete squads and make two complete ones.

Yep, that's my thinking as well. Should we consider this a possible formal petition to the Major?

ok guys, the chief let me know what u guys are up to :)
at first i thought... theres gonna be some ass kicking, but then i saw u had almost the exact same ideas as me, so i'll let u off :P

i have spoken to chief and he's gonna start to get ready for the shift
we are going to be come a 3 sqn wing each woth 4 men, but also with a few CFR sqn's.

so chief, as i asked last night can u start the screening process?

and just to let u lot know, this is gonna be quite a radical change, with a new image for the sqn, to show were not just a wing sitting on our ass, but one ready to do the bidding of the developers.

i'll be back tommorow for the day trainning, till then.....
cag out.
