I don't know whether or not you guys are still accepting applications, this thread seems a bit dead! :biggrin1: I'd like to be a full-time pilot for the 58th or at least a reserve. Callsign is Foundry I'm on GMT and can be contacted here: cal.thatsmyname@btinternet.com

Had a bit of experience with FS2 though I've only done multi on a LAN with a mate of mine. I like both vipers, probably better in the mkII although I've fallen in love with the VII. Killed 20 raiders on the gauntlet, though I had a hit ratio of 48% and died twice so I guess I'll probably defer to Legacy! :D

Hope for happy hunting from here on out

I'm going to attempt to put fears aside. I'll do a better job sometime soon, given the age and irrelevance of this thread.

As the original post said, we're still looking forward to pilots letting us know that they're interested in joining the 58th Viper Air Wing. However, at this time we have all the pilots that we need, so anyone that posts here shouldn't expect an automatic acceptance.
Don't let this dishearten you though. If the 58th is a group that you really want to join, then leave your name here. You might be the last person to sign up, but eventually you'll be a part of the group.

At the end of the day, if you're interested in joining the Air Wing, leave your name. If you get a better offer (yeah, right...) then leave a message here announcing your decline and we'll take note.

Hey 58th Air Wing!

The names Marc, and I would also love to join the air group if there is a space open at some point in time. I have had lots of experience playing space flight sim games (freespace 2, X-Wing, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter), but have since retired a couple years ago. And now this old hand wants back in on the action =]

I am available Saturday, Sunday, and Monday evenings (Pacific Standard Time); I can be reached through this email directly if needed: marcshake@hotmail.com

Hope to hear from ya'll soon!

Alright, Mark, you are officially under consideration. I'll be contacting the squadron leader with the most compatible timezone to you and I'll see if he can take on one more.

I'm assuming this thread is still active.  My name is Kard, and I'd like to apply for a spot in the squadron if possible.

I have a lot of experience with FS & FS2, at least on campaign mode. The few times I've attempted the multi, they were inactive. But I've played through the campaigns (and earlier today, the BTRL demo which kicks a lot of ass) a few too many times.

Available US EST, evenings and weekends.

I can be contacted at denningjhotmail.com

Thank you.

PS: anyone know of good times to find open BTRL multi games I could hop in on?

I would like to join the squadron, I've been a long time fan of BSG but quite new to space sims but I've flown several atmosphere flight sims out there and I totally love the multiplayer side of things. I would like to get up on this game with fellow BSG lovers although my wife may not quite dig it.

Welcome to the 58th, Gek.

As you can see many of us are laying low until the final release, but you're welcome to fly with any of us if you're itching to get into the cockpit.

good hunting.

Thank you for the welcome and I will try my best.
Well I've mainly been flying offline with a few missions I found and while a bit arcadish it is still a total blast to fly.  I can't wait till I can see some of you guys around and get some stick time in with the group.

What time do any of you guys normally get together to wing up?
