Ok, hopefully not overstepping my bounds (as this is NOT my section) but, please use EDIT/Modify post if you need to change/add something to an existing post rather than multiple posts with no one posting between them.
If you played FS1/2 you already have an idea of how this TC MIGHT function in regards to unit selection and other functions (once Gai sets it up).
Of course how different and elaborate a TC this will be in regard to changed in game mechanics is up to the Mod team. Only time will tell how the final result differs.
From the look of Gai's team I think they have conception well in hand, cause realisticly if you have no idea what the engine can do, how can you pony up ideas to "get this game up?"
And this is not a game, it's a MOD of an existing game (like how the Quake III Gundam project is a MOD not a scratch built game itself). Mods take time to make depending on how big or how they differ from the core game. This obviously is a TC or Total Conversion so that means everything needs to be made from scratch so that mean lots of time.
Most small mods are done in 2-3 months, Big mods or TC's can take YEARS.
