It's hard to create a tribute for a game series if you create a totally unrelated game isn't it?

Of course we've discussed this issue several times. I think Nintendo probably has the right to tell us to put the site down and stop developing it.
But why should they?
The FS2 community is small. The FS2 players aren't exactly Nintendos target group. Most of them probably don't even know Starfox. They will not buy less Starfox games because of the mod, cause they probably won't buy one anyway. At the best rate, we might even get some of them interested in the franchise.
To be honest I fear they're not even thinking about this, cause they probably don't care, or don't even now our project.
I don't think we'll ever be possible to port the game to a console. Appart from the needed code changes (we do not have a coder...), we'd have to alter the whole content.
And to be realistic, we couldn't release it anyway. How should be contribute it. The only possible way would be to ask Nintendo to include it on a demo disc, or something like that.
A commercial contribution is prohibited by the license of the FS2 open source code.
You shouldn't worry too much about this matter.
