why do I as an admin have the urge to close this thread?

Mate even in Australia this is a rather heated topic, and there has being only one Australia that is part of any miltary been killed (he transfured over from the RAAF to the RAF and died as the plane that he was in was shot down). By asking that you are wanting to have this thread closed. So far you have done nothing but cause troble, guess that means that you are an example to all others as to what will happen if you piss off the admins and mods.

I think any war is wrong, and that its terrible that the biggest portion of our annual budget goes to finding new and better ways to kill people

i would have hoped that humanity would have been past this by now, i blame organized religion for holding humanity back.  BUT i will bash organized religion when its safe, not right now.  People should finally figure out that nothing good is going to come from killing people, and that its generally better to help them.  Like, say, north korea, let them have nuclear power plants and let them get the food they need to feed their people.  Nobody with their own country is dumb enough to use a nuke.  Eventually, if we treat them like trading partners, they'll make more money and probably end up like china, which is becoming less communist every day

Edit: Oh, and w00t! someone took my suggestion!@ :biggrin1:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men\'s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth : for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” (Luke

Blaming religion for wars is silly. It's like blaming computer games like GTA for reckless driving. Humanity in general will fight over what they believe in, religion is merely another thing people will fight over.
