Well... talking about Joystick preferences...:biggrin1:

from Exodus, Part 2.

Compare with this:

I checked, and this knowledge is also in the Battlestar Wiki, although I noticed it individually. Just thought it was a nice addition to the topic.:naughty:

wow. that's my exact joystick that I've had for the past like six years.

So, in preperation for BtRL, i've decided it's finally time to spring for a decent joystick. Any suggestions? Not too expensive.

uhm, I have now the x52 Saitek joystick (didn't know that there is no force feedback available..^^).

How can I use the throttle thing in FS2? I just can't bind the "key"..

Update
------
Sorry for this post, I found it finally. "Throttle Axis" are the magic words.

I'm a fan of the x-52 myself. Superb joystick; it's got lots of buttons, works with every game i've tried with (although it required some faffing around to get to work with the Battlefield series); and above all, it's just good fun. A big fat throttle and a durable joystick just begging to be smashed around in a dogfight :)

http://joystickrequired.com/ is a good source for opinions on Joysticks and as I'm posting anyway - what a fantastic set of demo vids this project has, awsome!

My own stick is a Saitek FF Evo - its my longest lasting stick (over 2yrs) as other Saiteks (cyborg gold) have lasted me less than 3 months at a pop and the PC shop were getting fed up of me keeping returning them broken.

sorry for dredging up a 3 week old thread but I though I'd chime in with my input on the topic of joysticks . . .

I used to use a 2 button el cheapo stick that my dad got at a computer show millions of years ago. I used that one for Terminal Velocity, and later on Wing Commander Prophecy. I ended up wearing out the buttons :(

then I got a Saitek Cyborg 2000 or whatever it was called. it had adjustable everythings on it. you could change the throttle from left to right side. tilt the thumb buttons. change the height of the hand rest etc . . . good stick, but I was playing WCP one time and I got really into it and I ended up breaking the trigger off I squeezed so hard when I went to shoot it lol

then this year for christmas I got myself a Saitek Aviator :D
2 throttles 15 buttons and 8 way hat :D
I'm having a great time in LOMAC with it, but I haven't had a chance to play FS2 with it . .

I don't plan on breaking the new one :D
