Forward your ports. Update your build.

90% of the time people cant see games because their client ports or the host ports are not forwarded properly.

I already had those things done but I think what was going on is the current games listing is somewhat slow at updating ..... I was later on able to see a game while ingame

Well that's not much info to go on.  Can you post the steps you have taken so far?  What did you install?  How did you install it?

That kept happening to me, once I installed Kara's multi fix for stream weapons it started working, I'll try and see if I can find it...

That's odd. I can't think of anything in that build that isn't 3.6.9 Official that could have that effect.

I've installed and reinstalled FS2 multiple times, due to the fannying around I've been doing to it! Whenever I setup FS2 multi I use the normal 3.6.9 build, it doesn't connect, when I use your build it connects fine. I played a few games using your build Kara.

You have your firewall configured to allow one exe access to the internet but not the other?

No, I had my ports configured to allow any FS2 build I had, it seems Kara's was the only one that worked though.

How about anti-virus software.  I know NAV internet worm protection causes that problem.  I have to go in and delete the entry for the previous exe before it will allow another one to use the same port.

The only change I had was Kara's multi build, it's the only thing that could've got it working, strange I know! :D

That's a rather worrying development though Imperator. 3.6.9 Official is much closer to the build we'll be using for BtRL. And you won't be able to play on that build without crashes in certain missions IIRC.

When I post the build with the directive fix later this week make sure it works for you.
