What?

On this day (October 23rd) Ransom has eight days!

*Dark Hunter looks upon deadlines like really hard brick walls. He wonders whether Ransom will go SPLAT on his deadline...*

Relatively big update in the first post. It's coming along.

I'm expecting to get all the missions done on time, but when I set the deadline I neglected to take into account all the post-FREDing business that'll need to be done afterward. So it won't be released by November (SPLAT), but with the most time-consuming part out of the way I won't have to put the project on hold until I've got more time. The biggest thing, really, is the voice acting; I'll put out a call for voice actors come November, assuming I do in fact get the missions done on time.

I'd also like to clarify something: this is absolutely not related to my last two campaigns in any way. Sorry. You'll have to wait a little longer for Sync 2.

The first post. I'm not totally certain, but I think it's a computer talking.

Voice acting

Is the whole thing voice acted or only a little bit like in Transcend?

Having played both Sync AND Transcend in the last couple days...I must say I'm impressed. (I'm usually quite picky.) I actually had my friends sitting over my shoulder for half of the first one...watching...waiting to see what was going to happen next. When I'd finished Sync they were just in awe. When I'd told 'em that there was another one...they practically begged to see it.

Given your ability for manipulating the engine and bending it to your story's will, I'm to say the least...anxious. I hope it's released soon.

Bump.

Not to be annoying, but is there a status update?

Also: Out of curiosity, are the Sync/Transcend and Homesick universes related?  (open up the sync vp and view a certain ship list.. and you will understand.)

Sync and Transcend are related, but not with Homesick.  Homesick is Blaise Russel's campaign, not Ransom's.

I understand that (I'm not that dumb...), it's just that I was bored one day and opened up the Sync VP in NotePad++ and was reading it for the mission dialogue.  When suddenly I spied.. the word "MCv Custodian"!
And "GVCv Khufu"! In the Sync VP!

#Command Briefing

Whence I got that theory from, since those all are ships from Homesick.  Maybe just n00bness on my part. :)

Haha, that's very peculiar. I'm afraid I've got no explanation for that, I suppose I must have built the mission on one of Homesick's for some bizarre reason.

There's no news as far as this project goes, though, not at the moment. I can't get any more work done on it until a new CVS build is released which'll fix a couple of bugs that make it impossible for me to FRED the next mission.
