Just work it into the mission design.

Destroy the rez ship before its high poly goodness makes your station crap out;)

Well... luckily we won't be seeing any more than one of these at a time.

As a side note, for the less detailed LODs of this model, how about just using a whole bunch of alpha mapped textures to fake geometery? We wouldn't need to actually use real geometery until we got pretty close.

That's what I was planning on doing ;) Alpha mapping some uber basic geometry. Anyway, I need to go see my Air Force recruiter but fret not, the model is about 50% completed.

Hello and all, nice looking model you have there.

But I must know, where did you get those hires screen caps ? Was season 2 aired in HDTV anywhere ? Who would I have to bribe to get those ?

We may only see the res ship in 2 or 3 missions but remember that final battle consists of the Res ship, 3 baseships, 2 battlestars and dozens of vipers and raiders... I sence some crashage or at least mush fps sufferage.  Priase the Gods for LODs I suppose.

no need mate, the guy that made the cgi model for the show is a friend of mine.

I saw the hi-res images on his site - AMAZING work. And if you can get that to work in a game - hat's off to you too, ser.:eek2:

Maybe the detail box code being used is in order here...

He is good...told you.
And he is exited... such excitements must be exploited immediately while their are at maximum temp, thats why I said him to make resurrection... and he is working...working...working, and the happy smile on my face is bigger and bigger.
This resurrection will be awesome.
Anyway...for good dogfight and TvsT you need something really bumpy (as Ganymede repair station was in FS2). These ships in BSG mostly very bald... Resurrection is just excellent!! :) :) :)
