I was going to link to there.  The thread at Sci-fi meshes was brutal.  Al3d- was really taking the modeler to task.  The great side effect was that he posted some SWEET references to the Ressurrection ship.

Someone did a nice looking resurrection ship model over at thescifiworld.net...

funny thing is, Alain's model isnt completely accurate to the one seen in a few shots on BSG. I noticed this the other day, if you look closely, you find another "glass" resurrection area under the modeled one we see.

Anywho, wanted to let you guys know, that I've recovered, but I need to catch up in work now, so it'll be a couple/few days.

The show used two different models, the Studio model (real resin model) and the CG model (2 different ones) Alain's was the closeup.

why would they bother with a resin modle?, theres no point. the resurectionship would be totatly cg in the show, the only resin modle they should have of the resurectino ship would be the one that sits on the tactic plaaning table in the combat room. i tihnk someones been pullin ya leg justin cos i think they stoped using minatures a while ago:P. with the exception of sg-1 finally full cirlce were they built a copy of the pyramid to blow up, then addded extra effects after that, but that was a big effect cos at hte time they figured the show was at its end.

hell ya. Well we've done numerous nuclear tests near by since then, however the radiation I speak of is UV band, not Gamma or Xray band.

LOL, I forgot to take that into account. *yep know all about em* Most of them anyway. ^_^ I would almost fear digging a deep deep hole in the ground to boot ^_~.

hah. I know. Anywho guys, unfortunently, I found some severe errors in my modeling, so I had to scrap almost the whole rear end. Seeing as how I leave in 4 days and have alot to do between then and now - what I am going to do is upload it, and whoever wants to complete it, simply PM me and you'll have a link within 12 hours.
