Dude,
We should set up the Mushies-Cannabis-Ecstasy CanAm Express NYC-TO - that way we'd fly from Earth and not need Vipers to do it.
:)
I could do 10 years of this easily. I think this is some of the finest usages of television I\'ve ever been a part of in my life bar none. I\'ve been doing this for 42 years. I\'ve done some really good work on television and in motion pictures, but there\'s nothing like this show. I can honestly tell you that. By far, one of the finest dramatic pieces of work on humanity I\'ve ever seen in my life."

I think {BSG is} so passionate, textured, complex, subversive and challenging that it dwarfs everything on TV.

Don't listen to him! The content suffers when they're drunk.

Instead, threaten to withhold all booze until it's done. :drevil:

Correction, The BSG v2.0 mesh was modelled while hopped up on Red Label Johnny Walker. The goal, turn off my nitpicking lobes.

ps: I do not encourage excessive drinking. :)

we're trying to find something that we can mix with our everclear to make it green, so we can drink Ambrosia when we watch BSG

Pisang Ambon, the green mystery. Ah, good stuff, but I don't know can you get it in there where ever you are. ;)

Plain old boring food colouring won't work?

BTW, it's not just Tigh-style, it's RDM-style, too. :p Listen to the podcasts if you don't know what I mean. :p

And a new one. A very preliminary warp in and out effect. DaBrain made the effect itself. I simply figured out how to get it to work :)

Bear in mind that only the Galactica and the Basestar have properly scaled effects at the moment. I just added the rest of the fleet for the coolness factor :)

very nice. I actually didn't mind the stock FS2 subspace effect event though it doesn't look much like BG's FTL jump effect, I thought that silent hole openeing up in space was quite creepy and worked well in the benchmark vid, but now I've seen an effect that's more true to the series, well let's just say I'm glad you made the effort

I got alerted to your work here through PC Gamer (UK) although I'd seen it mentioned on the BG Wiki site, but I didn't hold out much hope for it to be any good. You could have knocked me down with Balthar's cigar smoke when I saw the teaser trailer; my son and I are long-standing space-sim fans and we've been desperate for a meaty combat space-sim since the end of FS2, TFvXW, Starlancer, and the WC series. I've been waiting for WC Saga for yahrens, it seems. (Freelancer was ok and plenty of mods but I've played it to death, X2/X3 combat was terrible, since FS2 nothing's really got comabt right)

So glad I checked you out, I'm looking forward to indulging space-based bloodthrstiness with BG darkness.

I trust it hasn't escaped anyone that, once again, it's the English guy who's the baddie. It's the one aspect of BG that annoys me, even though Callis does a great job as Balthar. I saw him in rep at our local theatre years ago, y'know; got the shock of my life when I saw him in the mini-series *I know that bloke!*

The effect can be scaled very easily.

The speed problems are simply due to me shooting down from 100+ FPS when running the game to <20 FPS when running GameCam to take the video.
