He says it was already leaked before, so he decided just to go and make a small leak even bigger. Brilliant.

And we're supposed to ignore the fact that he is the ultimate source of the earlier leaks too?

Only Omni can tell us if there was a change of plan but from what I understood he wasn't meant to be releasing it at all at the con in the first place. That's why I was rather surprised to hear him talking about burning CD copies at the con.

I'm just going by what he said, which now I'm barely trusting.

I think somewhere along the lines, he said there would be multiple computers showing this off or something, so he burned a few cds he could get the installation done faster.

But really, I highly doubt anyone could've secretly ripped the cd, or even stolen one without bwhatever noticing. No matter who leaked it originally, it was his responsibility.

Thing is, I don't think he even tried to keep it under wraps despite what he said.

As to the CD's...those were approved for use at the Con.  The people who had computers at the con installed the alpha and we had a nice LAN game going, and to keep the traffic down, we burnt the alpha onto cd for people to install from.  I have no control over what happened to the CD copies now as they are all over the USA by now.  We had people at the con from all parts of the USA and Canada.

Bah, that's even worse.

Who wants to bet when an eBay auction selling an "amazing" BSG flight sim will appear?

Arrrhh, I was having a good morning, a few good weather events about to happen to break the boring spell we have been in, and now this......I myself can belive this, can't belive he did this just to get fame on the Sci Fi boards, took what everyone has workded so hard on, and just let everyone have it. :sigh:

Luckliy as Axem said there is a few good points, not many people know how to run it, and by how buggy it is, hopefully not many can play it.

Wait a sec. Get a good LAN game going? Did someone make multi missions for the mod? Or some other game?

I'd rather assumed that you'd made one Axem when I first read that.

While any fool can make a simple dogfight mission in 10 minutes it does require at least a slight knowledge of how to FRED which does rather seem to count Bschott out.

No there was no multi missions in that Alpha pack, or atleast to my knowledge. Allthough I was wondering when he said about having a LAN game going at the convention.

I have also left my comments in that thread.

I barely had enough time to make up a training missions and finish FusionStorm's giant Battle of Endor mission.

Looking through the missions directory, I see only some test missions and the bsgcon missions.

Hmmm, I know it's bad to say, but, we know Bscott had no knowledge of FRED, so the question, did he get some one esle in the FS2 community to make a multi mssion, or atleast change one of the default multi missions?

Should we post a thread at HLP telling everyone not to help him make a mission with BSG ships, if he says he had permission?

I really think he was lying there. Just trying to make up an excuse for burning the cds.

Plus, near the end it sounded like we were really pushing the deadline, I really think there wouldn't have been any time to make a mission. Plus, where else could he have gone? The FREDder would've needed to download the 600mb package and then make missions, and then send it to him.

True, but on another subject, is there anyway to E-mail the sites who uploaded those files and get them taken off, or report the post on Sci Fi and get the links taken down?
