Starfox 64 3ds released in japan today

As a 3DS owner myself, I'm pretty happy to be compensated with the 20 games - especially as most of them appear to be quality first-party titles (crossing my fingers for Fire Emblem 7 though!). If I didn't own a 3DS now, this news would actually tempt me to get one BEFORE the price drop to get in on the ambassador program.

However, Nintendo should probably realise that not everyone would be happy to have the games and would prefer some cash back. Ideally, they should be offering a choice between compensation with games or compensation with cash.

The price drop was necessary - the system was too expensive and the launch line up looked lackluster (say that 10 times fast!), but hopefully this and some upcoming "big guns" (Super Mario, Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, etc) will see things change...

Giving away cash is always kinda problematic for companies... Legally, it's way easier to offer free stuff or give vouchers rather than actual money.

Especially companies that are headquartered on the other side of the world.

Especially since downloadable games costs them practically nothing to give you.
With the price drop, I'm seriously considering purchasing one of these. Maybe after Christmas, or there abouts.

ALERT!

I was talking to a guy at Sam's Club today and he said that Wal-Mart drops its price on the 9th - two days before the official price drop! So you can get the lower price and still be in the Ambassador program - TWENTY FREE GAMES!!!!

Review on GameTrailers:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-star-fox-64/720527

Though I don't agree with it completely. It's not just a "good game", it's a great game.
The updated visuals are awesome!

Of course the lack of online play is a bit disappointing, but SF64 was mainly a single player game.
If you want a multiplayer StarFox game, you'll probably have to wait for a new one.

Personally I would have liked to see a new level hidden in there somewhere. (Well who knows, something might turn up later...)

I think the planned price cuts for the 3DS and the games are a good decision. Except for the lack of free time, there isn't anything holding me back from getting a 3DS and SF64 3D. ;)

7.3... Well, I think that with online play, the overall score would have jumped a good whole point upward at least. Still a fairly good grade that is.

Honestly, did any of us need to see a review before deciding whether or not to get this?
