Hunter says I DIDN'T win. What say you?

I'm having a hard time controlling this thing. :|

Pathways / Pathways Needs Members!
« on: April 16, 2008, 06:30:43 AM »
I started this campaign about four years ago, and I still haven't even finished the demo. I don't intend to quit. But Pathways needs members, and hopefully I can get this thing back on its feet.

Who I need:
  • Storyline editors
  • FREDers (aside from myself)
  • Beta testers
  • Voice actors in the future or near future
  • Maybe a modeler or texture artist if I decide we may need one.

Run the OpenAL .exe in the BtRL folder.

It's different, Saitek changed the movement tracking system to correct the "floatyness" seen in the original x52.

Here's a (possibly dumb) suggestion, check volume and connection. :nervous:

There's a rather large deadzone in the x52 thanks to the construction, so, yes.

Yeah, there's something screwy with how the gliding works. Currently I have my gliding setup in BtRL set to

Toggle Glide: Shift-G
Slide Left - Pad 1
Slide Right - Pad 3

Works fine for me, though when you're sliding you can't fire at the same time for some reason. I'm working to fix that.

Some of y'alls might have an x52, some might not. For those of you who do, I've created an x52 profile. It's in an alpha/beta state, depending on how you look at it. It covers the vital functions:

Trigger: Fire Primaries
Fire Button: Fire Secondaries
Fire A: Target Hostiles
Fire B: Target Friendlies
Fire C: Target Ship in Reticle
Fire D: Afterburners
Pinky Switch: Countermeasures
U Axis Slider: Changes between dual fire and single fire for secondaries
Mouse Button 2 (front of the throttle): Clicking it enables glide
HAT #3 (Throttle): Controls lateral thrusters, up, down, left, and right.

That's all for now.

Freespace Campaigns / Some of the cheats don't work...

What's really funny is how on some cheat sites ~+C is labelled as "Communicate with enemy" or something like that, when it really disables countermeasure firing on AI ships.

Freespace 2 MODing / The Ask a Modeler Thread.

I'm having difficulties with Truespace saving .cob files. Apparently whenever I save the damn thing, the entire model disappears, leaving behind one subobject that i've marked invisible so I can turret the USS Constitution, and importing .scn files doesn't quite work the way it should, as I get a fatal error whenever I try to enter a mission.

Oh, for the saving to .cob error, I'm using Omni's truespace model dump.

Actually, I don't think you get it if you yank out the mediavp tables.

Which build are you running?

I think that those servers you listed are using the 7dot8 build, which means that you have to use at least the 7dot7 build (or anything newer) to see games.

dot what now? :wtf:
