Thanks for the assets, but is there any chance to have the concept documents as well ?

I haven't looked too closely at it yet, but I imaging that if there is anything like that, you'll find it in one of those files. Or you could at least get an idea by what was released.

Hey, did you hear yet that Mando and I are working on a mod of our own and in tribute to SoL? Check it out:

I'm working through 'em, but there's actually a huge amount of actually finished assets and stuff. But I've been busy and haven't really been able to get a complete picture of what's there and what isn't.

Got the assets, I'll look at the rest tomorrow.

Thanks Axem, and anybody else on the team!

Indeed, and I feel a little silly right now. But in my defense, that's what they had been saying every time the question came up. I wasn't on the team, but just an unofficial greeter.

Ah, and I see you've found Mando's mod already. Good.

Hello everyone.  I'm a very new 3-d artist & creative writer.  I was impressed with your forum content.  Looking forward to reading thorugh the forums and being a productive member.

I've always enjoyed space and/or flight sims games.  I love what I saw from the "old" BTRL Project and the "new" Diaspora updates.  Excellent work.

Awesome to have you Oracle, and
:welcome t

Unfortunately, right now we're reeling from the main project here, Shadows of Lylat, going t**s-up. So if you like what you've seen here, check out jc4jc's project Stargate SG-1: Earth's Defence, and head to the sister site,, for piles and piles of Freespace2 modding and tons of campaigns and conversion mods.

Thanks Brox, it means a lot to us that you'll keep the site going, and will host the assets if they're released.
I also am a little concerned for the future of game-warden. I wonder if there is anyway to archive everything here onto hard-light, and convince jc4jc to move his mod over?

Anyway, mando's mod could be promising if we get a few more members, and I have something of my own in the works. SoL will not be forgotten, and it will live on in us!

Wellp. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but it's nice to get some closure. I will definitely like access to some of those models.

Thank you for the announcement, and thank you very much for the effort to keep it alive.

Have you been able to get in touch with DaBrain lately?

Well, projects do these things. Especially when the whole project is mostly one guy doing the bulk of the work and organizing. And that guy is busy. With a job and life and other projects. So it goes, hopefully the project will get back on its feet soon enough. But hey, we've been patient this long, a little longer won't hurt.

In the meantime, over at Hard-Light, a lot of other projects have been finished and released. If you're looking for something to do, head on over! (link in my signature).

Make sure to check out the Wing Commander release!

well Dabrains been on leave since I have been here, axem pretty much encouraged me to start my own project, but I dont have the experience for that... yet, havent seen wanderer for a while, and I dont know bout anyone else, and I have just been discouraged and dont know what to work on next

That is very understandable. Just keep with it, practice. At least you've got your containers and The E's Free Skies going on. And if you really want something new to work on, I have a concept I've been trying to figure out how to get out. I already figured that the fastest way would be to learn to model myself. But if you're looking for something to practice on, I'd be happy to send over the concept. (It's an Arwing-esque fighter)

How about transforming the game from n64 to pc with sol graphics and levels? how about it?

how about transforming sf64 from n64 to the pc with sol graphics and missions

As you can see from this thread, and this board in general, progress on SoL seems to have stalled, just a bit as DaBrain deals with other projects and real life.
When he gets back, he'll probably get back to you on your questions.

I think I can answer the question though:
If you are referring to porting StarFox 64 to the SoL engine with updated graphics, then the possibility is there, but the SoL team will not do it.

For starters, surface missions are already not very viable at this time which much of SF64 consists of. When SoL is released, you will be welcome to create a campaign which recreates the 64 game as closely as you can manage, you might even be able to join a team doing just that.

One more thing: Please don't double post. If you wish to add more to a previous post, use the edit button and add more to that post. Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that, if you see a post with lots of links on it its best NOT to click on them.

Definitely. This forum has a big problem with spammers, probably dripping viruses in all over the place. I kill spam when I see it, but just be very careful everywhere. Sorry for any trouble, but it's good to have you here, dingdongfifty.
