Shadows of Lylat / Star Fox 64 on 3ds
« on: August 03, 2010, 09:20:26 PM »
I Recognized...
Even in Halo it is includet.

so I was wrong...
but i never recognized normal and bump mapping in a NGC or Wii game (except Melee... and SMG)

But I wasn't able to find some information about the support of height maps within SM 2.0 =/

i never heard, that regular bump mapping could be shown in SM 2.0
as far as i know, SM2.0 supported advanced lighting.

at the first page i saw someone saying:
Quote
It even has decent bump mapping...

short note:
3DS's GPU isn't as strong as the GPU of NGC or Wii.
so it does NOT support SM / PS 3.0

no SM 3.0 -> No bump mapping ^^

but it still looks nice =)

it's quite nice for a 10 year old engine...
i mean, bump and parallax mapping can look REALLY nice.
additional hi-res textures (resolution about 2560x2560 and higher) and the graphics are above average.

and the engine supports bump and parallax mapping, as far as i know (I don't expect Parallax Occlusion and DX11 Tesselation, but the features it includes can still view very nice)

hope not =D

if it is, it still looks good =)
if it isn't I'll look forward to get the high end package =D

hmm... i would not say that i lost interest...
it is just in the forum.
imo the forum went to the most bottom point.

i can't see any really sensefull threads (expect the artwork and screenshot threads) ... and the mods seem to be inactive too

ineterest in the project: 100%

interest in the forum... 2%?

Wii could only run this on low... the console doesn't even have Shader Modell 3.0

if you want to play it with a wii mote, there are possibilities to do that.

but porting a game like this to wii, it would be like a try to port assassins creed with extremly low graphics to wii too.... it would look horrible.

so please - don't do that -_-

which minimum systems requirements will there be?

which optimal system requirements will there be?
(same fox high definition pack)

will there be an online mode?

what about LAN support?

are we able to change the character?

do they have their own stats? (like it is in starfox assault)

will there be a benchmark test?

just some questions which would interest me...
