but when I turn on nebula, all skybox and background nebula\planets are turned off... this way even if I make the poofs transparent all I get is a black BG...

Hi guys! I want to ask for some help regarding FS nebula...
in the movie here:
I see you have a nebula with a very high view distence, as well as very big and transparent poofs... can you give some pointers as to how to achive this effect?

beautiful ship!!! very shivan like, probably the nicest shivan ship!!
a few thing, I personally think it should be MUCH bigger
ingame the ship losses its specular lighting, it should be really high on the metal parts, and maybe color them with more a more whitish gray? ingame it looks brown!!
(a thing I noticed in most screenshots)

yes, I did, and unfortunatly i wont have time to try things with this in the coming months, im going to nepal and india .

still cant get it working...
what i changed in the *.tbm file is this:

wandrer... how do I apply it to btrl?
I unpacked it in the demo folder, and added in the *.tbl file of the mining ship and the colonial battlecuiser, then what?

I've found this script written by wandrer, and it looks quite interesting...,45089.0.html
I think it can have different effects, like making it use an animation of small debris(maybe even small human figures for the ressurection ship...), sparks and such to increse ships explosions.
also, im not quite sure how to make it work with BTRL...
what do you think?

I would guess box/poly modeling, also think about uv mapping this thing...and deleting all the inside poly's...:wtf::shaking: :mad:
