I always figured Nintendo was trying to match characteristics with animals i.e. Falco the ace pilot being naturally suited to the sky, wolf being somewhat bloodthristy (at least as bloodthirsty as nintendo could get), loyal general pepper/Bill being a dog, etc. Essentially what's Feather was saying about snakes.

As for the monkeys, I'm sure they would feel a kinship with the newly-appeared would-be emperor. Its like all the pilots turning up for the final battle in Independence Day.

To be fair, there were only 23 characters in the entire game, and we never even really saw any friendlies besides Bill/Katt. Even the good general didn't get a real in-game message besides the opening cutscene. :P

I always thought there should be a middle ground between the 64 Greatfox and Assault Greatfox. Either way, they're both still prefferable over the carrier from Command.

That said, I remain slightly curious as to how the Assault model would look in brawl.

Will the Assault Greatfox fire rapid pulses like the original stage, or are you going all-out and giving it beams like from Assault?

...I really hope I didn't just start a which Greatfox is best derailment. XD

Looks like I'm the late-reply, if only because I haven't been on this forum for months.

Seriously, I Try. >.<

In any case, I love co-op personally. However, there's something about a team deathmatch that is more entertaining to me. You aren't following a mission script, and your opponent can be just as ingenious or clever as you can be.

It must amuse me. :P

I'm going to add a fill-in-the-blank vote and say gameplay cannot even become bland. The amount of missions your game has wont make any difference if all your levels are the same.

That said, I have a weakness for new playable toys, so I'm going to add that one for the purposes of this poll.

I think the brawl arwing was meant to be a smaller scale. The Assault arwing from wingtip to wingtip was about half as long as one of the enemy cruisers from mission 1 after all. :P

In any case, My perfect arwing would be the SF64's general proportions, but with Assault's sleekness.

Is the engine exhaust going to change between in-space and in-atmosphere like SF64?

Shadows of Lylat / Super Smash Brothers BRAWL friend codes
« on: December 07, 2008, 06:22:49 AM »

I just realized i gave everyone the wrong code. A piece of paper that had my code got swapped with a piece of paper with a friend's code. :nervous:

In any case, the correct code is:

Sorry about that. :doubtful:

Look forward to playing with everyone!

Unless I'm mistaken, the launcher download link is down.

Clicking on the launcher gets me this:

> look
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

> find link
You stumble around trying to find, but your hands grasp nothing except dirt and rock. You eventually touch something solid, and lift it up. As you bring it to your eyes, you squint to find that it is (note, this changes with refresh)a silver jock strap of lightning.

> quit
(also changing)Your score is 25 out of a possible 375. This gives you the rank of hoser.
Are you sure you want to give up [y/N]? : y

Planet Amontillado?

C'mon man, be original -_-

Rutana? Caphis? C'mon, I can keep going all night long.

The main purpose of that article was a joke. Amontillado was supposed to be a play of MacBeth, comparing to the original development's team in a lack of idea for the planet's name.

If anything, I thought the "Tim the dog" was the lame part. :doubtful:

Amontillado? ....not as much.

Meh, I couldnt think of a good planet, so I made a play off the planet MacBeth. The Cask of Amontillado was a short story by Edgar Alen Poe.

Still think I had the most fun making the Other News section.

I concur...

There's a fine line between poking fun at something and pure insanity...I think that site just crossed it.:nervous:

However, I feel I was a bit too harsh in my opening statement, and I apologize for that.

I never want to see "Unencyclopedia" and "good" in the same sentence, unless there's a "not" between them. Thank you, have a nice day. :)

It looks like a howling wolf...

Maybe wolf bursts out of a bunch of exhaust shaped like it? :D
