Shadows of Lylat / I'm off
« on: May 13, 2010, 08:01:39 PM »
Really I'm off.
Sorry guys. I'll be back when the game comes out. If it ever comes out, that is. As far as I'm concerned there is no official date of the release and we could be trolled the whole time. Probably not the scenario, but you can't make this much commotion on the internet and not have any input on whats going on or updates on the progress of the game. I know you guys have busy lives and whatever, but not to even update your followers on anything? Meh. Alright, I'll be back when I here when the game is out.

Thanks Brockenstein for being the most active admin on the forum, keeping in touch with all of its members. Thanks Flamminwerfer for the spam wars. I wouldn't have the post amount that I have today b/c of that! Thanks everyone else on the forum as well.

I always knew that this wasn't the "Sol" forums but the "GW" forums, but I always thought it was a way for all Star Fox fans to keep in touch. Many of its members got to know about the game and really for some time I enjoyed the derailed threads. Threads about Star Fox of course.

Now that I'm off my soap box, there is one more thing I vowed to say at least once here:

I don't like you Axem.

Shadows of Lylat / multiplayer modes
« on: April 19, 2010, 06:18:51 AM »
Capture the flag. I want it. Playing capture the flag in arwings would be amazing.
Also protect the carrier. One team protects a carrier while it goes from point A to point B, and the other team tries to stop them. King of the hill/base/fort/area of space; That would be cool, but not as fun as protect the carrier. Other suggestions? :)

General Discussion / Good Movies...
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:01:29 PM »
What are some good movies that range between Terminator 4, Avatar, Star Trek (2009), 2012, and District 9?

I'm looking for stuff with explosions, sifi, and more splosions. Let me know below!

Shadows of Lylat / Project Assault Official Thread
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:51:38 PM »

Many people argue that the Assault version of the Great Fox should of been in Super Smash Bros Brawl, but it sadly wasn't. What I am about to preform will allow the Assault Great Fox to be a playable stage. It will be much like the Great Fox in the Stage "Corneria" but this one will be longer, no battle area where the "jet fire" is in the back of the ship(You will just burn) and look much cooler than the original. (in my opinion)

With the new stage added, the mod will be released with a playable character, Krystal. With all of this in mind, it will take a while. Krystal is still in development and the PA team only consists of two members right now. The mod should be complete in no longer than a month.

General Freespace / Best Keyboard/mouse configuration
« on: March 04, 2010, 08:49:55 PM »
Oh jeez, I misspelled configuration. :blah:

Hey Freespacer's I have a question:
What is your preferred Freespace 2 controller configuration?
Is it best the use the mouse of keypad?

I began playing Freespace 2 and I got most of the commands on the keyboard down and I was just wondering whats the preferred controller configuration. I find using the mouse for flight comfortable, but I can't "barrel roll" like with the numberpad. I currently own a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro but haven't set it up yet on my pc. Is this a good Joystick? Let me know.

Shadows of Lylat / Unused SSBB Tropies
« on: February 26, 2010, 11:00:58 PM »

WTF? I just downloaded some of the ssbb trophies for my new brawl characters and noticed something...

Has anyone seen this trophy before? It think there might be a fox one too.

Now onto the good stuff...

I've been jumping around theories that make me believe that Assault versions of Falco, Fox, and Krystal were originally set out to be ssbb characters we could of seen today. To give evidence of my theories lets look at some pictures:

What do these have in common?

They all contain images of their eyes closed!
I might be jumping to conclusions, but I think that these guys could of been in ssbb. They also might of been ported from assault and could of had those closed eyes by default.

More stuff:

Looking at the info on these guys I also noticed that assault fox has more data, Krystal having a little less and Falco having the standard size. Its almost as if Krystal would of been in first before Falco. ALSO there is no "Assault Wolf" trophy. Wolf was one of the last characters to be added to brawl, he's actually so ripped off
Fox that you can preform a complete moveswap with him and it wont even glitch! If you don't know what a moveswap is, click here. I would also like the note that the game labeled Falco and Fox as Foxoriginal.brsar and Falcooriginal.brsar. (and just to add to that, this means that the assault variations are the originals :D well not really, but I find some humor in it) also to add: Krystals texture and pallete name is "crystal"

Can someone tell me what this is?

I never knew what this thing was. It looks like a backpack, but an "aparoid" version. I can see why they might have used it though... *takes deep breath*
Because Wolf has a "backpack" in assault, Nintendo did not want to use in ssbb because it would suggest wolf as a assault character. SO, they removed the grey box and replaced it with some kind of aparoid powered jetpack. I guess its me just making up dumb theories but who knows.

Another trophy i couldn't find in the actual smash bros.

Shadows of Lylat / A new SSBB Character
« on: February 17, 2010, 03:14:13 AM »
If any of you are familiar with SSBB hacking and coding, you might know that it is now available to use models in the trophy collection and turn them into real characters. My question for you guys is: What do you want to see?

Because most of us are Star Fox fans (duh, if your not what are you doing here) what character do you want to see next? In the Star Fox section, here are the following trophy's:

(Smallified 'cause Scourge said so :D)

Let me know what you think! :D
Once I've completed the model(s) I will have a video up on Youtube presenting it.

Note: There are "64" variations of Slippy and Peppy.  I don't feel like doing them b/c the Assault versions look way better. But if push comes to shove, I guess I could do them.
