The sounds are crappy I know but I was bored and I didn't have enough time to get the sounds from btrl into the vid.

Hey its me again.
with the same problem (would start the old thread over again but its months and months old).

My problem is the graphics.
When I play a level there are some strange triangular tairs and when I engage something my graphics go's black or just grey. It also happens when I face a certain point or when I enter a certain area.  Ever tried flying blind? trust me its no fun.

Tmp2 / joystick sensitivity

Hey Kara sure u heard this lots of times before but my joystick is extremely sensitive.

i've lowered the sensivity to 1, and I have tried to play with the second highest deadzone. but no luck, I can't even get/keep my reticle on the target.
U know how I can solve this. I got a cougar flightstick. dunno which type.

also I have 3 computers, 2 desktops and one laptop.
 the laptop and a new desktop both have dual core proccesors and Btrl runs very crappy if at all on those computers. My bro has a pentium 4, old one from 2001 on his computer and it runs fine except for a couple lags due to insufficient virtual memory.

the main computer that needs help is my new one.
A dell E521
AMD athlon 64 X2 Live Technology processor (2.66 G.hz)
vid card: 256 MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO
2 GB DDR II memory

Every time I start the asteroid patrol mission I get a black screen.

I was playing BtRL on my new PC the other day and when I got to the first actual mission when you have to patrol the asteroid field and chum buys the farm and my screen just turned black at the start of the mission.
Strangely enough this only when you look in the 180 degrees in all directions from your starting directions, I think it has something to with the giant asteroid field, the sun the hot potato(es) (kara u know what i mean by that)
also FRED is being a pain in the !@#. When i start I dont get nice lines that go in a straight line but instead I see NO starting viper and all of the vertical gridlines on the right hand side on the screen are simply no there. further more the vertical lines that I DO see make a 90 degree turn and go upwards, how do people expect me to make missions with this?

Guys I cant get the remapping of my joystick to work with BtRL.
Which is odd since I have the exact same models as my bro and he doesnt seem to have any problems.

Tmp2 / raaiders going nuts

ok i found this out a long time ago but i forgot to post it :D.
I was doing a raider gauntlet when in the final stage I drifted away from the raiders, only to see that they started shooting each other. I always knew those raiders were a bit strange (thats raiders in general not the game AI).
Also I did find out when in the final stage they actually ignored me and they kept flying in wings of 4 giving me the opertunity to pick em of (that went well as long as you didn't hit/kill the leading raider). Started to feel like a bird of prey 'diving from above' and with a long burst from my canons those toasters were history.

VAlidation of Sp-02 causes game crash. Which is odd since it has always worked for me. And I havent changed anything.

Ok I thought this was a good idea a thread for leaves.

If you'll be inactive for sometime plz post it here rather than going AWOL I'm pretty sure it'l make things a lot easier on the chief, the CAG and the squadron leaders.

Post the date on which you're leaving and the date you think you're coming back.

You can also put name and rank + squadron but that's not THAT important.

example: (Guys I'm really going to be inactive for a week so this isn't just an example)

YEP LOVELY BIOS.

Talked to the chief about it and I didn't see a BIO thread so here it is.
The chief is planning on wiping the bio page. So If you like your old one plz say so here and anyone who hasnt got any or wants it redone post it here as well. ( Jeez I feel like chief or the cag or the wing XO hell IDFK)

I was FREDing my own mission and when I started BtRL to test it and selected my mission from the tech data I got this warning:

Tmp2 / Galactica forward guns

Since I'll leave it over to the crew now i'm not going to mod it anymore.
I looked on wikipedia and I found something interesting. 'Official' blueprints which show 4 forward guns below galactica's nose. Is this being implemented in the full release or is it just the belly and back turrets?

My first mission open to public.

Plz if there are any bugs report them in THIS thread.
Includes a readme file for the install.
Includes spoken dialog by me (yes its low quality and kinda crappy but I did my best).

*SPOILERS*

Purple squadron is on CAP duty. Two raiders jump in and you have to take them out in less than 10 seconds or they'll jump away again.
Didn't make it? Good then you'll get a way nicer battle with about 80 ships exchanging fire. Aint it  cool?

I want to know one thing.
WTH are we going to use to communicate in BtRL. I don' wish to type messages. I think a voice chat program is way better. (x-fire, skype etc.)

I have x-fire and skype and an answer to my question would be appreciated.
