Shadows of Lylat / Miyamoto's disappointment at decline in Star Fox appeal
« on: November 07, 2009, 08:30:17 AM »
(Oh maaan. Did I really write "disappointmented"?! And now I can't edit the thread title. Bah!)

A recent article that I found rather intriguing:

I'm happy to at least see Shigeru Miyamoto has actually been taking notice of the gradual decrease in interest surrounding the series. To me, it'd make the success of a project like SoL all the more meaningful.

I really hope it can one day lead to him, and Nintendo as a whole, giving the series a much higher priority in the future.

Shadows of Lylat / Star Fox Parodies!
« on: June 25, 2009, 12:20:45 AM »
Now who doesn't love a good parody? I thought I'd share some of my favourites. And feel free to list your own, be they animations, or something else!

Star Fox 64 in a Nutshell (What crude artwork and clueless narration. I LOVE it.)
"We're Starfox!" (The team visits a restaurant. Hilarity ensues. All the dialogue is reused SF64 clips!)
Starfox: Mission Complete (A bit of a warning for language. Ironically, the animation was never completed, so it's reeeeally short, but I liked it.)
Project Inthri 64 (Won't make any sense if you haven't played Project Inthri 3! plug plug plug.)

Shadows of Lylat / A Starfox Game Engine... In Flash! And 3D!
« on: March 15, 2009, 09:03:03 AM »
Not talking about the awesome Project Inthri 3 this time. This one is actual STARFOX, in flash, IN 3D. And I'm utterly clueless as to how this is even possible.

These are -very- short, looping demos, and not true levels. However, the Arwing is fully manuverable, with destructable enemies and asteroids. I really hope they can make a full game out of it someday.

Shadows of Lylat / Project Inthri 3 (Starfox-inspired 2D flash game)

Graphics aside, I had a whole lot of fun with this recently released flash shoot-em-up. I find it contains some really innovate level designs as it progresses, and hopefully you guys will enjoy it as well! I also provide the voice of the lead character, FX.

For a unique challenge, try controlling both ships at once in two-player mode!
