General Discussion / B5:SD Needs A Programmer!
« on: November 06, 2005, 11:10:38 AM »
Babylon 5: Severed Dreams is, or will be, a freeware space sim game set in the Babylon 5 universe.

The project needs a LEAD PROGRAMMER (C++) with SKILL, INTEREST and TIME.

We have a 3D Realtime Rendering Engine, so we need help with developing the GAME engine ontop of it.

Our previous lead programmer didn't have the time to work on the game.

Would someone know what kind of file is [filename].iso.0 (so the extensions are iso.0)? I removed the .0, but nothing.

Forget it.

General Discussion / MP Games?
« on: September 03, 2005, 10:41:27 PM »
I had a poor PC and 56k modem for a long time, so you can guess I haven't played much games online.

But now, with a (bit) better PC and broadband connection I can finally play multiplayer games. Now I've tried Call of Duty, and loved it (SP & MP)!

What good MP games is out there? And I'm not interested on those which have a monthly fee or something. I'm willing to pay for the game, but not for playing it online.

...Willing to pay

General Discussion / Promoting StarGame, pt.2
« on: July 11, 2005, 05:05:32 PM »
Again, if you don't mind. :)

StarGame is a place for everyone - designers, programmers, gamers, etc. And we offer alot ourselves e.g. support for many pieces of software - Flash MX, Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop CS and alot more. We also offer sub domain hosting for every one but mainly people who will get something from it like designers and mod projects. We need more forums members to help SG grow.

For people that like games you can enter our competitions for great games, magazines and alot more.

We also need more staff to help out on many areas of the website (see the jobs page for information). We also are looking for partners to help promote the site to every part of this earth.

What we see the future of StarGame:
We are looking into having a e-commerce website either auctions / online store or a hosting company.

Also, we are now using vB.

The site and forums:

I'll promote the StarGame here too, right now. :D

StarGame is a new community for gamers, 3D designers, Photoshop gurus, website designers, etc. You can get help in many areas of graphic and webdesign. StarGame also offers hosting.

I'm not the developer, but one of the admins in the forums.

Check it out. :)

How much space forums take?
Would 250MB of disk space and 50MB MySql database be enough for a small sized forum?

And don't laugh at my questions, I don't know nothing about mysql, etc. (that's why i'm asking :p)
