Hello multiplayer gamers!! :)

I would like to invite you all to take part of the TeamWars - FreeSpace 2 Team Tournament.
Team registration just started so you can tell your wingmen that this is "the time" for you to fight! :)

FS2NetD / FS2Net Games Viewer

It was mentioned in other topic but I guess it deserved a separate topic :).

I'm sure that most FS2 multiplayer gamers remember window-application created by Dover which let players to talk at IRC channel and see NetD games list. Now Dover (his current nickname is Wasky) release application's latest version that works with current FS2NetD server. It contains Lobby_20 communication channel based on irc.maxgaming.net:6667 and List of games with ability to join automatically by double-clicking on host, just like in earlier versions. In my opinion it works fantastic and makes ppls communication much easier! :)

FS2NetD / FS2 mission validation request

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately still have that problem (and many other players too... everyone I asked about it). I have checked my whole FS2 directory for any bad files that can be installed and make corrupted with NetD. Everything's fine there. I have table-validation passed with no problem at loggin' in. Problem appears when hosting a game. It shows me "Asking PXO Server for Mission CRCs" message for long time (to the action timeout I guess) and then mission-validating messages but with no result at all :(. Even stock / retail missions by :V: isn't valid.

I was trying to delete tvalid.cfg and mvalid.cfg from my /data folder, that game can rebuild it from beginning. That was helpless unfortunately. "not on server" message next to every mission filename in mvalid.cfg. In tvalid.cfg "valid" is next to ships.tbl and weapons.tbl and "not on server" next to other table files, which I guess is OK (?).

So... maybe someone removed them without telling you :nervous:.

And you know... I was playing today without mission validation with my friend and stats was saved! :confused1 Message "Stats will not save when you play a non valid mission [...] etc." appears when trying to start a mission as well as message "mission tossed" at debriefing but... after logging again to NetD we both have updated kills-number and points-number and rest. Just like Super Nova said. I will post this issue on Mantis someday this week. Statistics won't save only when you plays mission alone.

I use 3.6.9 final and mission pack from above (first post). Please help :)

Hello. I can't valid any missions with FS2 Open since few days while hosting a game. It is my ask for Matthew or other current NetD administrator: can you restore valid-missions-list on masterserver? We have many newbies at FS2 Open in last weeks and as you know... new players love to be in stats ;). Working stats, points, kills and medals will be a good encouragement for them to play and  up multiplayer activity a little.

Here is a complete mission package to valid as well as standard/stock FS2 multi mission.

Changes for the final version looks very good and promising. Information about which team is winning for all players will certainly increase the gameplay. Can't wait final mission(s).

Guys :) Let's back to the topic. Btw. Hi Raven! :D

So... I was playing some KotH matches and must say that I'm impressed. This -new game mode- is a very good idea and I think you should release it with final version very soon Karajorma. (I hope). Me and some other ppl (most from polish community) are very interested in it :).

But only one thing... game plays with 4 pilots, standard 2v2, I was a hostman. And that limitation with client's messages is a bit tiring :(. That's not good when I (host) got precise msgs about the King, and clients don't. I know who do I shoot... neither do everybody else. I think it can be a lot more fun if everyone can be known about who is the King actually. Then all know who is to hunt, hostiles concentrates on King and friendlys protects The One :).

So I hope that SCP will improve some code to make this work soon.

Oh... when someone stayed King of the Hill for 2 minutes and the game is won by he and his team, the "counter" messages is still clock up. I think there is no need for that, and clock should be stop just after we got a winner.

Well... very good job btw :nod::yes:. Make it release and maybe add some various missions (maybe one with only fast ships, one with heavy... one with bombers ( ;) ) and one... Old School FS1 with no shields... and maybe one in asteroid field. OK that's enought, i said too much :p).

Wow, that's something new! I'll have a flight tonight with few friends, we will check it out  for sure :). So everything what I need for my team to win is stay alive and stay inside jump node... Right? It's 1km long from the center of the node or from the borders of the node?

{303} is still active. We have flights and trainings via IP (while NetD is down) all the time.
As I know, [DW] is still around and few ppl from other clans.
