Hosted Multiplayer Squadrons / do you still play online?
« on: May 23, 2008, 03:06:51 PM »
well...there are currently quiete a lot of people still playing BTRL...

the probably best way to find players online is the FS2 Net Games Viewer,
grab it here:

http://www.anetchat.prv.pl/freespace

Or the side BSGPilots(http://www.majesticsites.net/bsgpilots/) offering a launchtub chat with usually a few guys online looking for matches.
So good luck! Maybe we meet each other there!^^

well, as far as I can remember you have to put them into 8bit format

exactly...furthermore you wouldn't be able to play online with one of these less legal copies:biggrin1:
but I think Amazon is a good spot

Sup y'all!
For everyone of you having problems to find people to fly with I can recommend to things:
at first the "FS2 Net Games Viewer" (http://www.game-warden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4885)
which creates on the one hand an online lobby where you can talk to people being online(which lacks in all FS2 mods and in vanilla FS2 as well) and you can check out if games are online without being into the game yourself. If you find on in the FS2 Net Games Viewer game roster, a simple double click on the server and your game is starting and joining this server....very useful.
Btw, [DW]Hunter who some of you know (and who is now called [FT]Hunter) is there quite often and always willing to support skilled pilots.

The second adress I recommend you is the growing http://www.majesticsites.net/bsgpilots/
, a multi game club side centred around BSG plus discussions around the TV show.
The most useful feature of BSGpilots for BTRL players is definitely the "Launchtube", a live chat where you can always find people to play with.

But I'm really happy to see the rebirth of the 58th Air Wing!:biggrin1::biggrin1:
Maybe I could join one of your training sessions? I'm not a bad pilot not at all(http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/big/6et3-2.jpg), PIES AT [FT]HUNTER, and maybe we can learn something from each other^^.

Let's get some games rolling m8s!^^
oh! and it's good to have you back Rictus! we havn't talked yet but I already heard from you!^^
Have fun and good luck mates!

i dunno i think its the fact that there isn't much to do MP wise in the demo version i think when things like fights between battlestars and basestars we will see plenty of games up.And maybe a few more wings to compete against.

Yeah I think so too...must ppl got bored after a while as it's always the same(demo, right?^^) but I'm sure...as soon as the release comes out the general activity will increase significantly!

well it's been a bit quite in this thread and so I decided to start a little game...as we all know I am the inofficial moral officer of BSG9 and so I'll make a little party here on GW...so you guys tell me what you want to have at this party and I'll organize it!^^

I start: I wanna have a big empty hall, where a few hundred ppl can get into and there is enough space for decorations!

I found it interesting how this one used the opening music on the movie "the rock". And since when did Star Destroyers have missle batteries? lol

Quite often. Espescially the ...VicII i guess has as good as no laser/ion batteries but can fire a huge missile barrage...the other SD do have missile batteries as well...but they are only using it in great battles(ammo costs^^)...and SSD even have classical AA-Guns with shells exploding close to a target like those Flaks in WW II...I dunno why it isn't shown in the Movies but in some books it's described very well, so you can say: yes, they have missile batteries:nod:
