Title: Join us!
Post by: DaBrain on December 16, 2005, 02:38:17 PM
If you want to join the team please PM me.

Right now we're looking mainly for the following people:

Coder
Coder (OpenGL)
Sound engineer.

If you want to apply to work on something else, PM me anyway.

We'll probably want to see a preview of your work.

Coder

The SCP coders took care of a lot many feature requests. Hoever, more dedicated coders for SoL would help us to get some things done right when we need them, as well as getting some really special features done, which might only be interesting for SoL at the moment.
Mostly minor features are needed, as well as some features for the LUA scripting.

OpenGL coder

You may have heared about the comming features of the engine already. They include normal mapping and pixel shader.
We'd like to make use of these new techniques asap. So we're looking for GLSL shader coder, writing shaders for effects and materials and maybe providing some infos for the artists, so they can write at least simple stuff on their own.
Joing the FS2 SCP team is not needed, neither is working on the engine itself, but it would be a plus.

Sound engineer

We're looking for a good audio engineer to rework some of our sound effects for our first release.
This doesn't involve music, but all kinds of sound effects, like lasers, hit sounds, but also some environment sounds.

There are a few free 3D modeling programs out there. There's Blender (quite powerful, but has a large learning curve), Wings3D (simple, though it lacks some advanced features), and also a free version of Maya (though its a little tricky to export).
Title: Join us!
Post by: Jonathan_S47 on December 18, 2006, 04:54:19 AM
Blender (http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Home.2.0.html)
Wings 3D (http://www.wings3d.com/)

The “free” version of Maya is the Personal Learning Edition (PLE). The only way to export a model is though UnrealED (the editor program for the Unreal engine).

In the  - Shadows of Lylat is looking for a texture artist! - thread (that you have posted in), is a test ship to texture. It is already UV mapped.

Here is the updated file:Download (http://www.game-warden.com/starfox/Non_SF_related_stuff/v-fighter2.rar)
500kb

It contains a newer UV layout map, id colour map and an ambient occlusion map.

Three formats - Wavefront - Wings and Blender.

Mainly need a colour map. You could also do a shine and glow map. From the list you supplied they are Diffuse, Specular level and Self illumination

If you need a hand just post to the - looking for a texture artist! - thread
We will be happy to help with any questions. ;)

I have some bad news looks like I wont be able to help you guys on the project for the time being. im posting using my bro's laptop XD

Looks like my computer broke (says my clock was dead so I replaced it but still had problem). So I may end up buying a new computer but I may just wait for the windows vista/DX10 cards.

It really sucks as im starting classes next week and I may need my comp for some work. IWish you guys the best of luck on the project.

So I just hope when I do get a new comp and transfer all my stuff you guys may stll need modeling/texturing ;).

hello all, i am Ryokukitsune.

i'm a 3d Generalist, meaning i do a bit of everything.

I can model, texture, rig, animate. among other things. I mainly use Discreet Maya (formaly Alias Maya) I Love starfox and I love any aspect of game design. I'de like to learn a little more about your project. maybe I can offer my serivices.

if you would like to see some of my work please visit my DeviantArt account at:

there you will find examples of some of my 3d models involving weapons, characters and props. but I am looking to be challenged by future projects and feel this is a worthy cause to fallow.

I hope you consider me,

@Ryokukitsune
What UT said. ;)

Actually there is one model we'll need pretty soon. However, we've multiple concepts and it might take a while till we have one we all agree with.

Anyway... I saw your Arwing. Well, we don't have the SF:Adventures one yet.

A more detailed and textured version would be very useful for us.

The upper limit should be 4k-5k polygons. And a cockpit would be nice.
You probably won't have to model the pilot yourself though. ;)

Also... lods are important. It should have at least two of them.
http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2058/x03chart3dr.jpg

And one last note. Keep the wings as separate objects. We're going to animate them.

Seems like quite a lot work for the first task. I hope you were serious about looking for a challenge. ;)

Post by: Ryokukitsune on February 24, 2007, 05:02:03 PM
well in all honesty i need to crack out my Game Cube again and see if I cant get some better screen shots of the Arwing. I did those from 320 screens i googled. the body is fine however i think the wings suck ass. they would end up being remodeled anyway. I have 0 idea of how to model the engines because no one ever posted an angle of it for that ^^; I whish Starfox worked on Dolphin GC so i could get a full screen capture of the bastard hehe.

Lod models are never a problem, i usualy automate that and let maya do it for me unless it does a really bad job... I might just start over on the project just because that model is about a year old rite now...

make the body in blender, then each wing, then export the .3ds and do the rest in truespace.

Oh...wait, no, this isn't...oh, my bad, sorry....

Guys, I think Takashi really, REALLY wants to do something big for this project. xD

Ryokitsune, as I said in the other thread, great job on the modelling. I didn't realize you too thought the wings were the worst aspect. xD

And uh... LOD4 looks absolutely horrible, DB. I complain because currently, that's the only thing that might be possible for me to run! D:

First thing -  ignore Takashi's info on Blender. He will get there eventually, but at the moment he manages to mangle any info he is given. :(

Start here Fighter Guide (http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/fs2/mods/fighterguide/step1-1.php)

It is getting old but is still a good introduction to blender. Skip all the bits about texturing in Truespace. Blender has moved on since then. Once you can do that, make a better one of your own design or look for another tutorial to tackle. Then aim for a basic Arwing. Having a target to work towards helps.

Basic level modeling isn't much in demand but you end up picking up other skills that can be useful.

Unless these guys implement a flying Landmaster, I'd say chances are nil. :P

There's never been any ground based combat, or even planet based combat in Freespace 2 before, from what I've heard. So, having battles in Corneria and whatnot is already a huge leap for the mod. Implementing a Landmaster however, that's probably pushing it a bit far.

Hey though, ya know, they could probably implement a Blue Marine level if they wanted to. Just switch out the background to blue and the star particles with bubbles and you'd be set. ;)

I'm not familiar with the engine, but it might be possible with a little imaginaton... If you gave a "landmaster" no pitch, plenty of yaw, no role, and a turret, it might be possible. Forgive me if i completely pulled the FSII engine's capabilities. :squeeze:

I would like to apply for a position as FREDer, I have allot of skill with the program and an advanced understanding of SEXP's.

I am able to create Co-op/Multiplayer missions quite easily and know quite a bit about Star Fox.

I've made Star Fox missions in the past, using the default Freespace Models in place off the Star Fox vehicles.

Well there is one thing you could start with. It's pretty low key but will end up in the game.

For the tech room we need some Venom weapons. If you think you could do some interesting weapon drawings that would help. They will end up being modeled in 3d. You don't need to worry about the modeling part (unless you want to try)

If you are interested I'll post more info. If you haven't got a copy of Freespace, I could also post some pics of standard weapons to give you a starting point.

The 4 most popular languages in FS2 are English, Polish, German and French in that exact order actually, and getting voice actors for each language would be a major pain, so even if you did record it in different languages, the only ones you would be able to do, would be the ones with enough volenteers who speak the targeted languages. But if your just gunna translate the English voice acting with the text, you could do that for every language easy, there are free translation sites that actually do a good job. Assuming that the meaning won't be altered and the grammar and accent stays the same. ;) Babel Fish does a horrible job on that, and it takes everything literally. I'd rather trust someone who knows the language, but it doesn't really matter much.

That's something we can work on later, after we're done with the english version.

So, give to translate only the words, and leave the original voices in english, how is made in a lot of games.
Would be excellent (in my notion) to have various languages for the player can to choose to, until same, get understand the game story.

Sorry for english again

Well there is one thing you could start with. It's pretty low key but will end up in the game.

For the tech room we need some Venom weapons. If you think you could do some interesting weapon drawings that would help.

If you are interested I'll post more info. If you haven't got a copy of Freespace, I could also post some pics of standard weapons to give you a starting point.
ok thanks i dont currently have internet at my dads house but i'll do a couple concept drawings and see what i can come up with. and yeah i will probrably need to have a picture just to see what i'm aiming for. dont worry tho i will be @ internet acess for...(thinking here)..... three days approximately. give me a shout on my msn ( dont often check my p.m's on this thing ) (one more thing. these are for ships right?)

Don't worry about time -- just make them good and interesting.
Yes the weapons are for ships, but it's like the cannons on current jets  -- most of it is inside the craft, and out of sight.

These are the Freespace ones to give you some ideas. The model will end up rotating -thats why they are about the same size.

I am also around for beta testing, as Blink could probably tell you from his newly released creation...

I have a Dual Core Centrino laptop which should shortly have 2 gigs of RAM on it and plenty of hard drive space since there's nothing on here.

Since I couldn't do the character mapping very well, I might be able to help with giving you my critical eye.

Lemme know if I can do something for you, guys.

And at the moment we're not looking for FREDers, but that might change in the future.

A dedicated game designer would still be able to help out a bit, but I'd like to see at least one complete game design document of a previous project or a project that has not been realized (yet).

Having too many people in the team makes the managment too complex.
It will be hard to keep track on who's doing what, and even harder to re-organize things, if one member is to busy.

Also, if Axem or I have to fix up every litte thing a new member works on, it's not going to help much. And I'm currently very short on time anyway. So we're mostly looking for people that can work on their own, as far as basic skills go.
I don't expect a new member to learn everything about the engine, or how all the map formats work, we're using.

If you're dedicated enough to go through learning the tools and get a good FREDer, I'll gladly welcome you to the team. (At that point we might even need another FREDer.)

I already told you to stop trying to get into the team this way.
If you can do something that is useful for the project, send me some sample works.
And stop the double and tripple posting.

I've banned you for three days now, because the last pages of this thread are a mess.
Ignore the user title, it's standard for the "banned" user group.

@Starfoxfan224 and loudfang
Bad grammar and spelling are already an indicator for your teamwork skills.
Good communication is a core element of good team work.

Don't expect 100% proper language in the internal forum though, or our chat. We still try to have fun working on the game.
Still so far all members did a good job of keeping everything easy to read.

Hello all together!

Your project interested me a long time, 'cause I liked StarFox64, but school hold me back to offer help. Now, my schooltime is nearly over and I can offer a helping hand.
I think, I can assist you in modelling new space ship. I mean not with a pencil, of course not, I prefere hard polygons. The question ist, do you need somebody like me?

You need somebody with textures. Yes, I know how to create a texture, but it's not so much fun. In fact, it's boring^^. But in combination with modelling, it's an other topic. Spaceship I created, I will paint! Exeptions are'nt the problem, but I defenetly don't want to create only textures.

Why I want to help?
I love doing art! Normally I programm only (Java! Therefore I don't think, I am suited as coder)
It's difficult to explain, but I stuck with my home project and now I am frustrated. Helping you, is helping me.
Sounds strange, but the things I created for your project, I want to use in my project. But there should be no problem, because I don't know, when I will start again on my project. So its better to help you guys^^

Actually I work with Maya. 3D Studio is something, I haven't figgured out yet, but Maya is nearly the same. Which file format are you using?
Maybe I can help to create a intro for your game, because Maya is capable of that. The question is "Do you need a intro?"

Well, if you are interested or have questions, send me an email
phoenixthedevelop@yahoo.de

A little screenshot of my work (It's not really good, but it should be enough.)

Looking forward for reply! See ya!

If you guys are looking for some LUA scripters, go to ROBLOX (roblox.com) It's a LEGO ripoff, but to get anything special to work, you have to LUA script it. I don't know how different LUA is from the way it is in ROBLOX to how it would be put in here. I can't script worth a damn, so don't ask me. My name is JesseTV there.

5k poly limit sounds easy enough.

I understand you have enough modellers, but I've thrown two craft together with the n64 feel in mind. Neither have cockpits right now, but if I recall correctly, the Arwings interior wasn't complex at all. The only game I have access to right now is the n64 version, as I discarded my DS in favour of the PSP, and never got the chance to play Assault on the GCN.

So if there are any craft you would like done that others don't have the time for and/or would prefer not to do, I'd be glad to contribute. I cannot texture, however, so models would be submitted blank. Sorry about that, but with learning Python and 3d, among some other things, texturing just seems like too much weight to carry right now.

So if something happens and you need or would like a backup modeller, just contact me and I'd be glad to help.

Do you have any samples in particular I can record right now?

Well, this doesn't have anything to do with music and (atm) voice acting.

For now it's just redoing some sound effects, like laser sounds, and a lot of interface beep sounds.

Do you want older sound clips modified? Or to make some completely new? If I EQ the old ones, it might get what you're looking for. Do you know the sample rate of the current sound clips?

I don't have the technology to make them, but I can modify them, if necessary. I've got somenice sound editing software =D

Some is the effects are still very old versions, I made myself (so they suck ;) ).

I doubt there is anyway way to use them as template. Also, we don't have all sounds covered yet, so we need completely new sounds for most of the interface sounds.

Hi Fulcon.

The story is aready written, but we might need somebody to write some more mission scrips. (A bit more technical. You have to come up with events during the mission, write a list of all needed ships, and may request new ships or models.)

Another modeler won't hurt as well, if you don't mind working on level-of-detail models for already existing ships.

I'd like to read something from you and take a look at some of your models.

1: Yeah, definantly! I specialize in stuff like that!

2: Okay, what I meant by 'not that good at modeling' I meant 'I completely suck at it.' Don't mean to be rude, and you guys are doing SPECTACULARLY on the game. You could easily pass what you have done already as the next Starfox game (not that you would try).

3: You'd like to read something? Sure, I'll get something typed up toot-sweet! How would you like me to get it to you, and do you have anything specific in mind?

well, i aint good for anything you asked on the first post. on the other hand, i could translate the game to portuguese too (I hope i could, at least- dont know anything about coding:biggrin1:). theres also 2 more things i could do. maybe, just maybe, i could do something with the soundtrack. also, i'm quite sure i'd be able to do blueprints of the other ships, enemy ships, landmaster, anything. the big problem is i dont have any skills with 3d modeling, texturing, or anything like that, so when i say blueprint i really mean the scan of a piece of paper. but i really want to help the SoL project. also, my scanner went crazy(i know, pretty dumb excuse, but its true) so i dont have anything to show you guys yet, but i'm working on it. oh, and sry if i had to send this via PM, i just got here and dont quite know how to do it ^^'

There is a one month trial version... After a month you can upgrade to MAX9, then to MAX2008, then 2009, ect. ;)

It's a trial. You can test each version for one month.

3ds Max isn't cheap... unless you're getting really(!) good with it, you probably won't even consider buying it.

Why wait?

http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,56811.0.html

Now I can't speak for the starfox team but getting a Portuguese translation for the table mentioned there would be a step in the right direction. Although it wouldn't do anything for the in-game dialogue it would mean that much of the menu and error stuff was in Portuguese.

And as I've said, Starfox wouldn't be the only game to benefit from that.

My saying is, "it's not really stealing if all you're doing is practicing", but I mean the same thing. You'd figure these people have never heard of BitTorrent or something,

not that I dabble in that kinda thing:naughty:

Still, were I to do so, I might start teaching myself how to do stuff in Max over at 3DTotal.com...

Nice mod. Need some logos or graphic designs?

I've some examples of my work. I can adapt the styles of various series to create new pieces fairly effectively.
1. A set of logos in the Indiana Jones style (http://dejaq.deviantart.com/art/Indiana-Jones-logos-112916237)
2. A set of logos in the Star Wars style, used as a basis for the three following pieces (http://dejaq.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-logos-95-redux-112096137)
3. One variation on the original set (http://dejaq.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-logos-1980-110558446)
4. Another variation on the first set (http://dejaq.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-weathered-112160513)
5. A different style logo for Star Wars (http://dejaq.deviantart.com/art/The-Power-of-the-Force-112122034)

These are some mockup arrangements that I've made for a project I'm working on right now - covers for DVD, Blu-Ray, and CD, respectively.

I don't know what you had in mind for a logo, but I've been working on one based on the SF64/Adventures typeface, and here's what I have so far - no added effects yet:
(http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4579/sol1preview.png) (http://imageshack.us)
You've seen my previous work, so you should know that I try to emphasize the installment title rather than the series (otherwise I would've liked to have a go at Assault's Star Fox logo - I still might, if you want to use it in-game).

Alright!

We ususally give prospective members one task before they get access to the internal forum and the FTP/SVN servers.

We need a completely new interface, which is a lot of work. You won't be working on that alone later, but first we need a new layout/style for our menus.

I'll send you two pictures of the current menus in a minute. It would be great if you could come up with a new look for them. We'll worry about the technical issues later.

Concerning the logo, there are two things which I'd like to change, but that is actually related to the plot of the game, so we should talk about that later.

Ah! I wandered my way into this topic after posting my own. Sorry 'bout that.

I'd like to help out with this project, too. It sounds and looks awesome.

I have a tad bit of experience in drawing. Still learning some concepts, though.
I 3D model not as a hobby, but as something I'd like to do as a profession. And I have a bit of experience in Photoshop. As in, I could texture some things for you guys. Mostly, I'm interested in modeling ships, objects, or anything. I'm just not good with human type models yet. I'm currently learning a lot about it, though. :)

So anyways, here's some of my work: http://arwinglanding.net/forum/index.php?topic=14122.msg349424#new

fair enough, you guys have alot on your plate and that must be on the bottom of your list. i sent DaBrain my info already but when it comes to a demo reel what do you have in mind? just say lines from the games trying to do the characters voices? or do you want some improv done? any specifics you can give as to how the demo should be done?

Take a look at the SCP forum on HLP (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/board,50.0.html) as that is where the coders who work on the engine hang out.

This thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,52845.0.html) will explain how to get hold of the code. You'll need to read up a bit on how C/C++ work but as someone who made the Java->C transition just to work on this game's code I can say you shouldn't find it too difficult.

In demo reels, I look for people to show off as much of their character vocal range, accents, etc, in an audio clip somewhere between 1 or 2 minutes. (For example, here's one a friend of mine made (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/230394).) In this case, don't bother with adding music, but good recording quality is very important. The lines you say can be improvized, but I find they turn out better when planned.

I actually DON'T want to hear Star Fox character imitations in anyone's demos, however. Save those for when formal auditions are re-opened, at which point I'll be listing out all the main Star Fox characters needed at the time, and providing audition lines for each. I plan on using demo reels strictly as a means to fill out the various additional voices that will be needed.

That all said, I strongly encourage anyone who'd like to make a demo to really take their time with it, to ensure it reflects their abilites well. Again, we're not quite ready to cast anyone yet, and I'll still be accepting demo submissions by the time formal auditions are re-opened.

I don't think We are currently have a need for concept artists. Please note the first post of this thread. http://www.game-warden.com/forum/showthread.php?p=18709#post18709
This states what we are looking for at the moment.

Also the current web application form I am working on for everyone to fill out does not currently have the option to apply for Concept Artist. So I am pretty sure we are not in a need for that. Then again you could always try. See just like D-Mac pointed out about a demo reel. Showing a portfolio of really awesome work might do the trick. I don't know though I am not the one who reviews the applications.

We have gotten a lot of people wanting to join our team so best thing for anyone that wants to join that really feels they could add something to the team should be prepared to show what they can do. Just like when you go into a professional job interview. If I want to work at a magazine company and I go in there with out already having my portfolio of past graphic design work I have done they are NOT going to call me back for the second interview. So just keep in mind that we are looking for the same quality of people as in a real application.

Joing the FS2 SCP team is not needed, neither is working on the engine itself, but it would be a plus.

does that mean you're looking for grey maps and textures needet for parallax mapping?

(i could look how it looks with bump or parallax mapping with the irrlicht engine... i have that little bit of knowledge with C++ ...) <- stupid sentence xP

Alright, I'm seeing a bit of terminology betting traded around here, so without further adieu...

Stages of game development and YOU!
*alpha testing - Very early testing, generally what is seen here does not resemble the final game in any way. Often this is kept within the developers, but it varies with who makes the game.
*beta testing - Once the game is coming together, this stage usually goes into effect, whereupon it mostly consists of bug crushing and finding more more minor things to fix within the game.
*open beta v. closed beta - open, as implied, is open to anyone., where a closed beta is only accessible by a certain group (be them professional testers or a certain number of people who apply).
*demo - This is a section of a final game released to the public, intended to bring hype to the game. At this stage, it is usually intended that the game will not be changed further unless something catastrophic pops up, say, the installation wipes your hard drive.

I offered my services as a script/dialogue editor once before via PM, but was unanswered. I was newly arrived at SoL, and soon realized the voice casting call had already closed, so I left things at that. Looking at some of the later postings in this thread, however, I see that another casting call may [still] be upcoming. This suggests to me that the story’s script and dialogue hasn’t been one hundred percent cast in stone yet (as in, it may not be too late to make changes). I thus make a second offer.

Now, I realize that, as far as direction and content go, the story is probably complete at this point; however, I’m not proposing to imagine and write new branches of plot. I’m proposing refinement and polishing for what’s already been penned. I’ve seen a great deal of discussion about modellers, coders and artists, but little about story and script development (or, by inference, the grooming of these). Unfortunately, in game development, this is an aspect of production that often finds itself forgotten or given only weak and cursory treatment. I don’t know how many games I’ve now come across that, while being otherwise good games, have had mediocre plots confounded by terrible script particulars and poor dialogue, or that have leapt blindly at sensation and failed at greatness in the same stroke. For me, at least, it’s disappointing to see these ham-stringed works, especially when they curtail their own might-have-been potential. Having said this, I note that some of the team members do seem to have a strong grasp of the English language, so these fears may ultimately prove unnecessary. It never hurts, however, to give something a strong editorial run, and I’m someone who could likely do this.

P.S. Some form of RSVP would be appreciated.

Dear sir, I do believe this is probably the most convincing application I have yet to see for this project. Mind you that I have no influence on the team itself, as I am not involved in development, however you present yourself in a way very appropriate and elegant as per the job you have requested. Though I would say that it would help if you could show prior experience in writing, specifically in creating various persona, as it would lend more credence to your already strong application.

Sorry Scourage, I doubt there will be alot of reading to push the story since they are using voice actors.
I would like to help with spotting plot holes,  im good (or at least I'm delusional about it) at noticing things in storys that need more/less info, or if an aspect of the story was completely ignored(and shouldn't have been)

seriously guys, let me do something, PLEASE!!!

I sent a comment on YouTube and a PM to DaBrain. Now I'm here to be even more of an annoyance.
I REALLY wanna help with the music. I play electric guitar and piano, and if someone would give me the name of some really good music freeware, I could do some fancy stuff. I currently don't have an example except for the really old crap on my YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/jtnickelz).

Well I've dumped the idea of helping with the programming a while ago due to lack of time to learn about this engine enough to be productive.  However, I can be around for help with music if you want any help from me.  I have a few samples of my music available on kruai.newgrounds.com if you want to check it out some.  Really I like working with a lot of genres, but if you give me a specific one, I'll see what I can do.  :)

Hmm, well I don't do coding, but if you guys ever need an extra object modeller, concept artist, or level designer, let me know. Those are my areas of expertise.

I don't know if they need one but if they do the first thing they'll ask is for you to post examples of your work for them to look at.

I've seen in one of your trailers that mechs were present! can they actually be animated? If so, that is awesome!
The star wars conversion might use that for it's own walkers, as well as a possible battletech/aerotech/battlespace conversion...

Also, your city scapes are awesome! does the arwing have full maneuvering here or is it related only to rail missions? If the first then once again ground based mods might wish to adopt those city scapes...

Wonderful job to all!

Oh right sorry.
The forum is a little light on frequent visitors, but I think I can help a bit.

Mechs are very difficult to animate in the engine, if possible at all, and unless the team members know something (specific) that I don't, it wouldn't look very good. Most likely, any mechs will be static, or with very little motion. They won't be walking around and stuff.

I don't know what the team has planned mission wise, but there's nothing really stopping the environments from being wide open, to an extent anyways.

It's going to be a while. DaBrain works professionally in the game industry. Currently he is working overtime (including his weekends) and will not be able to look at new member requests just yet. I am sure he will get around to them when he gets a chance.

hello, well I sent in my application to dabrain, I am a modeler, something I am currently working on, that is technicly for a FOC mod I have, but I am hoping to do for SOL as well are my Arwing defender and arwing interceptor models, if may post a development thread if I am accepted, as I am at the point where I need input to be able to finish the designs, though I did start up a thread on HLP after axem, who I messsaged for advice sugessted it
the interceptor is yellow, the defender is blue, and note, these are both WIPs, they are the 2 additional fighters introduced in the unreleased SF2. also, all the work you see here was done in 2 day, wiht only maybe 6 hours of work time, I started on these on monday, I literaly made the defender last evening. if you would like more pics of my work, ask, and sorry about the huge pic size, if you want I can downsize

Hi Mando,

:welcome t

Thanks for your interest, your stuff looks pretty good. I don't know when DaBrain will be by to see it (he's pretty busy lately) but I look forward to seeing more of your stuff.

And yes, please please please resize those images. I think 800px wide would be pretty fair to most viewers. You could also upload a .7z file with the images somewhere and provide a link if you'd like us to have access to the full size pics.

thought it might help to show I have done some more work, here is a small update on the defender(wing and wing connecter fix), and two additional ships I started tonight(which means, pretty much the base is done, just needs a little more detailing) so wiht out further ado, I present my model of Cat's Paw(the pink one, yes I saw the arguement about having a seperate model, I thought a seperate one was needed so I went ahead and did it), and the Classic Conerian starfighter from the SF2 intro(green, I liked its design a bit and went ahead and made it, I think it was a good decision). yes I can start posting this stuff ont he screenshots thread, but that will have to wait till after I know I can actualy help of course. feel free to tell me what you think  http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Cat%27s_Paw
and as always, realitive scaling is approximate
